Just had my LGD reset into a custom ring by David Klass, super low profile solitaire. Specs: 1.68 RB in unplated white gold.

So pleased with how this turned out! His design sits approximately 5.5mm high, and still is flush with my band. The engraving is so beautiful!

I traded in my cushion. I just wasn't in love with it. Ritani happily and swiftly exchanged it for me. I picked out a round with very similar stats to the cushion, in the same type of setting and it is perfect! 1.71 ct., ideal cut, HCA score of 1.1, si1 (just 2 tiny pinprick inclusions), and can you believe the color is an L? You can only really see the color from the side. Now I love.

My Lightbox 1.75 carat loose stone and my 2 carat pendant. I couldn't help myself and ordered the 2 carat necklace once they were available! I think they're both gorgeous, but I think the 2 carat is a smidge whiter...? I think I might pop that one out of the necklace setting and set it as a ring and then put the 1.75 carat in its place. I am getting really addicted to these larger Lightbox stones!

My husband and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary yesterday and as a gift he wants to upgrade my 1.67 I VS2 natural diamond to a larger stone. I’m seriously considering a lab created diamond but reading that they’re not a good investment and you won’t save that much money. In my opinion it should be about what I want, right? I’m not looking at resale but what I like. Pros, cons and your opinions are appreciated.

Congratulations! We just upgraded my center stone to a 1.19 VVS2 H lab-grown from a simulated stone that we started out with. It's absolutely stunning. I don't really care about resale value, just my enjoyment of the bling! I think the price was significantly lower at this size than a mined diamond would have been. I'm not sure how the price difference goes as you scale up in size.
