Show me the Bling - the Laboratory Grown version!

Thank you so much :kiss2:
How‘s your ear ring search going?

Still puddling through options, I just can't decide! I'm currently setting my sapphire and will reassess when I know how much more my bank account can handle :lol-2: I'm thinking Ritani might be the go.

The search is exciting, but I’m such a procrastinator it can be overwhelming at times too. I hope you find the perfect pair in your budget. Can’t wait to see them.

My daughter in laws new 2 ct lightbox solitaire with a 6 prong 14 / platinum setting. It weighed exactly 2 ct, probably I color and nicely cut. Jeweler said it had 55% table and 62.5 % depth.

I purchased 6.02 ctw E / VS1 lab diamond earrings, 3 prong martini setting, from BE around the same time as the 4.75 ctw G / VS2 WF ACA mined diamond earrings that I talked about in my other thread. The BE earrings were less than half the price of the WF ACAs, despite being a larger carat size.

I know there have been a lot of really bad reviews about BE, but personally I had a great, easy experience with them and the earrings sparkle beautifully. They are IGI so they probably are not actually E / VS1, but they actually look higher color than the WF ACAs, so I'm thinking maybe F color?

I know this will likely be a controversial opinion, but I honestly don't see much difference, if any at all, in the sparkle, brilliance, fire, overall performance, and appearance between the WF ACA mined diamonds and the BE lab diamonds. I did use the HCA tool to pick them out, which probably helped. If I didn't know which earrings were mined and which were lab, I would be completely unable to tell which was which.

Gorgeous stone, congratulations! I also think you chose a classic setting and the size of the eternity band is a perfect balance and compliments the "engagement" ring, not too small or large.

Thank you! I love it so much. I can’t stop looking at it!

I have .80 ctw WF ACA studs and I love them, they were totally worth every penny! Just prior to purchasing the WF ACAs, I purchased an amazing 1.13 ct lab diamond from BE (graded by GCAL) with a .7 grade on the HCA scale. This lab diamond is amazing! The fire, scintillation, everything about it. It emboldened me to purchase an IGI graded BE lab pair with excellent stats (each diamond came out around 1.2 on the HCA scale.) Disappointingly, their performance was very lackluster and they were promptly returned. I think this may have been due to stria inside the diamond causing light to split and scatter and, as a result, the diamonds looked fuzzy and dull. I have another lab diamond from Ritani also graded by GCAL which is amazing! Both of the GCAL graded diamonds perform just as nicely as my ACAs.

TL;DR - ACAs are amazing diamonds! It is possible to find lab grown diamonds with equally amazing performance but it is also possible to get lab grown duds due to stria. I'm glad you and I both found great lab stones!

Do you recall if the diamonds that performed sub par were CVD or HPHT? I’m in the market for my first lab grown and I figured it would be easy but I see not!

Finally my turn to show off! My haul 8+ ct from Alex parksfinegroupinc. I have been shopping for a tennis bracelet for months....finally made my choice with Alex. I tried to capture the details with my micro lens...some taken with the help from my spouse.

More photos and videos at my blog post. It is scary how fast DSS sets in, in just a matter of days...now I feel like upgrading them...Oops! :lol-2:

All of the lab diamonds that I have are CVD. Honestly, I wonder if it isn't the lab grading the diamonds that makes the difference. The two amazing stones are graded by GCAL. GCAL's report include images of the H&A as well as information about light return. I'm convinced that GCAL is superior to IGI for grading lab diamonds. If ever I buy another lab stone, I will only buy GCAL graded stones.

Beautiful bracelet! Wear it in good health and happiness!

Latest earrings.
They are Lightbox, both just over 2 carats, so 4 ctw
Jeweler set them in stuller settings for me so I wont have a stick poking the back of my neck.

I did the same with 1ct ea/ 2cttw Lightbox. Same Stuller setting! I love them. Yours are amazing. Now I have DSS!

I bought a 5.01 ct D/VVS2 lab diamond from Adiamor and am SO impressed and happy with it. It is absolutely stunning and sparkles as much as a D/IF 5 ct diamond I saw and was lucky enough to be able to try on at my local VCA. The setting is stunning as well.

Oh my! It's a stunner! Is there a thread dedicated to this? Do share the specifications too! I was planning my next purchase from Adiamor.

I will say that I don't think it's a true D color, ie D color certified by GIA. I compared it to my G / VS2 ACA earrings from WF, and I think the color is one grade higher on this ring compared to the earrings. I believe this ring would actually be an F color if certified by GIA. I expected as much going into this purchase though, since IGI isn't as strict on grading as GIA, AGS, or GCAL, which was why I went for a D color. I figured it would probably be 2 colors lower (ie, IGI D = GIA F), so I wasn't disappointed.

The setting and band is very high quality and comfortable. I purchased a pear shaped lab diamond ring with a pave band from Brilliant Earth a while ago, and the band on that one is much lower quality than Adiamor's band.

This diamond has so much fire, it's insane!

This is my lab rose cut. She’s a 1.3 carat E VS2 (I think, can’t quite remember about the clarity and am on vacation). Setting is a Spring Gulch halo in 18k with a platinum bezel and round diamonds. It is beautifully done and so easy to wear. She’s 8mm before the halo so has a lot of presence. This was a personal piece of Caysie’s. I always wanted to try a large rosie but was hesitant to pay mined diamond pricing for a cut I wasn’t sure I would like, so I jumped when I saw this on LT. I looove it. This stone has rainbows! I am surprised at how much I wear her and at how. I’ve been wearing her as an alternate ER.

Caysie was involved in the cutting of the stone so it has a excellent cut. This to me is the big deal about lab stones—trying to ensure they are cut super well. I would love to see more AV branded cuts in lab stones.

What is the diameter of the ring with the halo?

Halos are not really my style because I think they’re too fancy for me but yours makes me feel like I NEED one!

I just posted on another thread, but I just for this 2.5 carat solitaire and I’m having the head changed out and a custom band made in yellow gold that will give me the option to wear with or without halo. It’s like 2 rings in one! I can’t wait to see to see the finished product. I included the inspiration band I found online 6F10AB2C-01C7-4F67-AB59-705534024150.jpeg50E29ACF-F9CC-4EB6-9977-89BD677056F1.jpeg1C4C5E58-0854-4B59-932C-8EDB4A194149.png6F10AB2C-01C7-4F67-AB59-705534024150.jpeg73312C06-F183-4FEB-89EE-184A71456449.jpeg

Sharing my 2ctw Sterling Silver tennis bracelet from Jewlr.com!

Rhodium plated sterling sliver
F/G color, VS – SI clarity
2.0-2.2mm (3 - 4 pointers), 53 stones, 7.25” long

The stone quality is simply amazing. This was made to order and I asked if they could use the highest color stones for me. The stones are very white and clear. The bracelet and links are well-constructed. The stones are set OK; what you’d expect from fashion jewelry. But it looks like it will hold and if it doesn’t, there’s a 1 year warranty.

The stones are tiny but the round basket setting and spaced out stones makes it appear bigger. It feels lightweight and delicate compared to my CZ 3mm 4 prong bracelet. It’s a different style from what I’m used to but it’s growing on to me. I might send it back to get shortened to 6.75” (remove 4 stones).

I got it on sale and stacked it with a 10% off code for signing up to emails. And I got $50 cash back on my credit card.

I got the bracelet the day after I placed my order. They were extremely fast.
