Stunning Si1!
Thank you, AprilBaby. I can see the feather under a loupe, but it is eyeclean. I never thought I would like an Si1, but here I am.
Stunning Si1!
I finally redid my 1cttw blue diamond studs I got from Lightbox. Originally they were in the 10k yellow gold martinis and now they’re in 14k white gold basket settings, which I prefer for my ears :
I also asked the jeweler what she thought about the color of my ering lab diamond (graded as a D by IGI) since I knew some people didn’t trust IGI’s color analysis; she looked at it through her loupe told me she thought it was a D or at the very most an E, which made me feel relieved! I have a H earth mined diamond band (not in my avatar) and I knew my ering stone was much whiter than that but I wasn’t sure.
She then showed me a couple F and G colored stones and I have to say I think I preferred those to the icy white. When searching for my engagement ring stone I always hesitated looking at diamonds below E after reading some PSers getting much warmer stones than they anticipated, but after getting my jeweler’s opinion on my current ering I feel a little less wary towards IGI’s color grading. I’ve been wanting to get a warmer stone for my next project anyway, so this makes me more confident with it going forward!
I had a similar experience with IGI. A long time ago I had an I-color EGD that was meh. Fast forward quite a bit and the G color LGD I got was very white.
This is my lab rose cut. She’s a 1.3 carat E VS2 (I think, can’t quite remember about the clarity and am on vacation). Setting is a Spring Gulch halo in 18k with a platinum bezel and round diamonds. It is beautifully done and so easy to wear. She’s 8mm before the halo so has a lot of presence. This was a personal piece of Caysie’s. I always wanted to try a large rosie but was hesitant to pay mined diamond pricing for a cut I wasn’t sure I would like, so I jumped when I saw this on LT. I looove it. This stone has rainbows! I am surprised at how much I wear her and at how. I’ve been wearing her as an alternate ER.
Caysie was involved in the cutting of the stone so it has a excellent cut. This to me is the big deal about lab stones—trying to ensure they are cut super well. I would love to see more AV branded cuts in lab stones.
New acquisition. I need to stop looking at FD settings. I bought this diamond because I wanted something set in their French Halo Setting. Love those tiny micro prongs!

What a beautiful stone and setting!!Introducing my GIA 3.02 G VS2 in Ritani 6 prong French cut Pave setting. Both purchased from Ritani. I am pairing it with with my Tiffany Soleste. I can definitely see the blue in this stone but I actually really like it! The previous smaller stone I ordered looked more brown and I did not care for that at all. I am struggling a little to get the perfect picture.

I love your set! May I ask you, where the band is from?

I love your set! I may be biased, because I also have a knife edge solitaire. May I ask you, where your band is from?
Oh how I love this! Enjoy!
