Show me the center of your OEC!

Oh my goodness, I love your ring collection @Lovesparklesparle they are all so pretty!

I struggled to get these photos. My cell phone camera sucks. As DH says, it's not a real camera.

@stracci2000 these are totally amazing
Haha, thanks!
You should've seen me, standing on the back porch, taping white paper to my black cell phone with a little hole cut out for the lens. And holding a white dish towel across my chest to try to eliminate colors and reflections from spoiling the shots!!!

Your pictures look great @Stracci! I just use my IPhone camera so no real camera here either. Really adore your settings too :kiss2:

This is the Late OEC or Transitional and I love just staring at the petal/checkerboard pattern. I also have a smaller OEC halo ring with a petal pattern that I bought from another PS'er a year ago (No good photos).

I think both types of OEC's are gorgeous as long as they are cut well.

I just wanted to say that I love the body colour of this stone, @Nikki1415 . Do you have a report? I’d be interested to know the details!

Love all these closeups in this thread:love:
Great pictures ladies!

Here’s some of mine -unfortunately no perfect petals

I wanted these badly enough I had the OEC recut to make sure I could always see the flower.

Older OECs have more like OMC faceting under the table and it looks like a marquis cross, not a flower.

Could you share before and after pics of the recut? Interesting!

@LisaRN such pretty faceting! My favorite ring of yours was the transitional you had, it had a checkerboard pattern if I remember right, gorgeous.

@Rfisher, so beautiful, maybe that's the great thing about the old cuts is even if they don't have perfect petals they are still beautiful :kiss2:

Dang! I don't know how you take such good pics of the patterning. I will try to get a pic of my daughter's OEC engagement ring--after she is actually engaged. It's a .60ct but so pretty.

Gorgeous ring @LLJsmom, love that setting.

I love looking at all the flavors of OEC/OMC. I've been through few myself these past few years. I tend to prefer flowery patterning.

1.57 M/N flowery OEC "Zsa Zsa". I found an older pic with better lighting that highlighted the faceting more clearly. The lighting at our current house is really not friendly for jewelry photography.

My first larger size OEC- It was a GIA M 1.13 and was mostly flowery. It lives in another country these days....

My first OMC was in a ring, then got removed and made in to earrings with an OEC "mate".

.82ctw OEC OMC earrings in buttercup settings. I still have these. You can see one is flowery and one is more "windmill".

I have one more now, but I want to give it its due and need to take nice pictures of it and edit them.
