That’s a good idea. We don’t tend to have those here so I’ve been coming at it from the point of view of buying one bag, organising my stuff properly (that was actually key to finding a handbag useful!) and then working from there.I haven't really carried light bags much so hoping someone else chimes in here. I've been expanding what bags I have by bidding on bags in a charity auction that benefits animal rescue. I get many for $5-20 each so I can see what size/color/style I actually carry rather than buying $$$ bags that I don't actually use.
I’ve focused on manufacturers whose company values are ones I want to support around things like ethical sourcing, fair pay for workers etc.
