Show me the handbags

Sorry for reviving this thread.
What handbags do you have now? Anything new you want to buy?

I need a small elegant purse, but I'm procrastinating because I prefer them big, practical and not too expensive.

The black one is 9 y.o., the brown one is 7/8 y.o.: made from leather by the same local artisan who made the red one.

I have a handbag "problem", lol. I think at last count I'm up to about 20-25 bags, primarily luxury bags with a few contemporary brands sprinkled in :D I adore handbags.

I need a summer clutch that is more than 10”x6”! I had no idea how hard it would be to find something. Missed out on a pre-loved Proenza Schouler a couple weeks ago and have been kicking myself since. Love the YSL raffia clutch but fear it is too small for me/my needs.

Too masculine? Or not enough summer?

I don’t have quite that many , but I do love my collection, especially my Chanel’s . What’s in your collection?

LV is probably the best represented in my collection, followed by Chanel. I have 1-2 of Gucci, Dior, Prada, Bvlgari, Bottega; and then some contemporary like Polene, Marc Jacobs, Cult Gaia etc. Out of the major high end luxury bags the only one I don’t have is Hermes (I feel like Hermes bags are either impractical or skew older, so I don’t plan to buy one for a while if at all). I feel like I’m fairly close to completing my collection, maybe 5-6 more to go? Seems like famous last words though :D

Sounds like an awesome collection:) I do have a few lv’s too , it’s mostly Chanel though . 3 jumbos, boy bag , 2 woc’s , Hampton flap .

@monarch64 : Bottega's leather is super soft and so pleasing to the touch ...trust me, I'm not partial (though Bottega was established a few miles from where I live and it is still produced here), but the Bottega is another level...and another price!

Yes! I have one Bottega and the quality is insane! I’ve read about the area in which they’re made and how their woven method came to be—very interesting and so unique. I appreciate my LV and Goyard for their durability, but I really love Bottega for the “quiet luxury” appeal and quality. I get so many compliments every time I wear mine!

You ladies have gorgeous bags! I have "nice" bags. I have a Ferragamo and 2 bags by The Row, but apart from that, I tend to keep my bags in the 500-1k range. For reasons you're about to see....

Here's one of my Row bags. Thrown on the floor on top of a pair of shoes next to my bed where I'm currently in hospital. It's a great bag - well made, roomy, and a true workhorse. No logos (I hate brand names on things), completely anonymous and ubiquitous. Gotta love those Olsen twins!

I have a few LV bags, they are small "night out" bags that don't fit more than phone, lipstick, compact and keys. A couple larger Burberry bags that I use for work, and I have a ton of Longchamp bags that I use for travel. I'm pretty sure I have posted some of these bags on other bag threads, but here is one bag I bought recently that does not get enough use! It is a coated canvas Le Pilage. While I love longchamp Le Pilar’s bags for travel due to their weightlessness, and ability to fold up, this one does not fold and is somewhat rigid! I love the color for summer though, it adds a pop of color for most of my neutral wardrobe. This too can be set on the ground and stands up on its own!IMG_4852.jpeg

Oh no, I hope you recover quickly and can go home. I'm with you on the expensive bags. I don't buy them anymore. I have a few of the La Pliage larger leather totes that fold and I really like those for travel. I have several Balenciaga bags but now I only buy smaller cross-body bags. Always leather and it has to have a nice "hand".

Fun summer bag by Poolside. I think I bought it in 2022? Anyway, always get lots of compliments when I bring it on vacation to the beach.

Another summer bag, but this one is an everyday tote/carryall. It’s not super versatile in my opinion, but it works well as my daily driver because it’s so neutral. I also like that it’s a break from the ubiquitous Neverfull (either Azur or classic monogram) and just has a bit more of a boho-chic vibe. Or maybe that’s my imagination, who knows.

I love bags! I have a serious problem I think. Here is my most recent photo. IMG_5746.jpeg

This came yesterday from elenashandbags.com. I love it!

I actually spend more money on handbags than on jewelry. Somehow I feel like I get more out of it than spending money on another piece of jewelry. Well, maybe that will change again. :lol-2:
