I feel this on a personal level. Lol I’m an hour from Indy…F1 left a long time ago so now it’s strictly IndyCar and NASCAR. Two of my favorite movies are Talladega Nights and Logan Lucky bc they poke fun at NASCAR fans and the industry as a whole. One of my daughter’s field trips last year was to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; that’s how much racing permeates culture here.

Wow, that is in deep when it's a field trip! My son says he's too tall and too old to think about driving, so he wants to be in the F1 pit. I asked what does that require and he said an engineering degree. I have no idea if that's true or not, but certainly am encouraging engineering and secretly hoping F1 will fade into the background.

Mrs_Strizzle, watch a race sometime, you'll be amazed at what they do and how quickly. The crews work long hours but they see the world, and no place else is a deadline as important. It could be great credentials.

Yes, it was the rehearsal yesterday. Being our first experience, DH & I were rather clueless throughout, lol but the vibes was good & we truly enjoyed the thrills

It may well have been photoshopped! I chose it from a website as it represents where I live very well but have attached an alternative which my daughter did take herself which is the coastal view of where I live.

For those that want to know where I am …..
The New Forest is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest in Southern England, covering southwest Hampshire and southeast Wiltshire. It was proclaimed a royal forest by William the Conqueror, featuring in the Domesday Book and was made a National Park to further protect it. The new forest is known for its wild ponies, deer, donkeys, cattle and pigs roaming free including across the roads - which is fantastic unless you’re in a hurry!!
