I bought a new .25ct OEC. I know I love it...but I don't know what to do with it.
I'd love to see what you guys did with your .25ct diamonds (extra credit if it's an OEC too!)

Right now I'm thinking
1. Save it for an accent stone for a pendant
2. Bezel solitaire on a short, thin chain
3. Bezel accent stone in a Patrick Irla Hydrangea ring.
4. Try to find another to match it and use them as sidestones in a ring.

Thoughts? Photos?

Here's my little OEC:

Thanks!

Here is luvmyhalo's 4mm bezel set solitaire. I think it's such a pretty and delicate look.

Here's a cool design I found on an antique site

Oooh I would do this!

That ring is so sweet - dooo eeeeeet, imagine your set together!

I was also thinking of maybe doing a stacker with my other lotus rings.

This is my .25 ct round promise ring, given to me many years ago by my BF. Wish we would have known more about quality...it was purchased at a "maul" store. Live and learn!

Not sure exactly what size my little OEC is as it was a gift but it's probably close to a .25.
I decided to set it in a custom made ring based on the Tiffany Étoile.

I like one of your ideas about putting it in a bezel on a chain. I would add some milgrain on the bezel.

Good luck with your project!

great thread! I have a .25 RB .23 RB and .20 RB (all ranging from h-j in color) as well.... I am in need of ideas as well for setting them.

My thoughts for setting a .25 oec stone are:

1. etoile stacking ring
2. LOVE the p.irla flower ring!!!! -probably my vote honestly
3. very thin delicate bezel pendant...

love them all!

I was thinking of these lotus seed style stackers since I have two lotus rings (one padparadscha and one tsavorite) that I could stack it with for some more versatility.

Ooh it's pretty! I vote Patrick Irla. I love the bezel design you posted, and I also really like the one Freke had made (I think hers was prong-set? With two hydrangeas, one on either side of the diamond). I think Patrick's whimsical/flower designs go so well with the OEC faceting.

Second choice for me would be bezel pendant.

I have a couple 0.25 stones but they're currently set as 3-prong studs. You could always try to find another similar OEC and do earrings, but I don't know how hard that would be (to find one that similar).

Btw, WHERE are you finding all these gorgeous OECs??? I want to know! :)

I love this idea. I want a ring like this one day too, I just think it is so perfect for everyday wear and you still get some bling in there!

I love this ring!! This is what I would do with it!

Well, you know I love P.Irla so that might be my pick...but I also like the idea of a stacking ring.
So many options!

Cachette, I love love love    that ring! I'd love to someday have an etoile but with a blue sapphire.

Personally I think that would be a great way to showcase the diamond. Either that or your bezel pendant-thin chain idea--very classy!

Really nice stuff that's giving me ideas :naughty:

Ludmilla, I adore your bracelet. Would love to have the same design made into a neckalce.

I love that bracelet! But sadly I'm not prone to wearing bracelets.

Right now i'm leaning more and more towards the etoile ring. I wear a 5.5 on both my index finger and my thumb so I could wear wear it as a thumb ring if I had no other stackers and wanted to wear 2 RHRs without them competing with each other, hehe.

Cachette - Love your ring! Who made it?

Here's my contribution. I think it's .27 . . . Sally made it. :)) pendant%20on%20moss%202%20rs.jpg

I think this is really pretty! I don't suppose you have a pic of it on your wrist, do you?? I'd love to see how it sits/hangs.

Cheers

MTG I was going to post a similar topic! I just recently bought a .34ct OEC (it is 4.55mm) and I'm not realy sure what I want to do with it. I thought I might do a JKT 3 stone ring with it- similar to AJ's ring. I just can't decide though. Please keep us updated on what you do with your lovely OEC!

ooooh thanks ::)
new pic for you

I love your bracelet! It's beautiful on you.

If you could take a photo for me, I'd love to see the setting of the diamond from the side and from the back. Thank you!
