Show Me Your Blue Sapphire Rings: PS Addition

What are the stones on your index & ring fingers?

@Dr_Diesel Thanks for noticing. The smaller one is a Burmese 1.5 ct spinel. The larger one is from Mahenge 3.7 ct. Pic below shows them with another sapphire ring that my friend was considering. I recently got two other new spinels, one Burmese (2nd pic) and one Mahenge, both over 3 ct. I never tire of these neon stones and have been seriously considering your listing :kiss2: IMG_0195.jpeg

@Crimson you have such pretty hands too

This is one of them. It's a very old man's ring and had an inclusion reaching the surface, but it's unheated, huge, and the color is dreamy. It survived almost 200 years so far with that inclusion.

That mounting is especially beautiful. I love it

These are spectacular!!!

…And I agree wholeheartedly with what others have said: flaunt those rings!!! Wear them, post them and OWN those beauties!

After all, that’s what jewels are for and the very reason that this forum exists!

Just think of it as a community service: allowing us to admire jewels that we may have never seen or even imagined!

Thank you @RRfromR. Your hands are lovely too. There is something very mesmerising about this ring…

Thank you so much, @Dr_Diesel. I feel better!
I am going to wear ans post them!

I know I’m late to the party… but oh my, this is my dream pendant… an antique pear, and Kashmir AND TIFFANY :kiss2: …. And if that’s an adorable old mine above it I might die of jealousy… :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

I have to say, this is one of my favorite pieces. Thanks for noticing!

@BoulderGal so beautiful! The setting seems very practical and emphasizes the "iceness" of the stone.

Thanks @RRfromR ! I bought the stone for a milestone in my life, and I wanted to show it off, yet have it protected. I had a rough idea, and worked with David Klass. As usual, he did a fantastic job! The stone is from JL White, just under 2 carats.

@LilAlex , English is my second language. The ring is old, the gentleman was probably young, full of life and definitely had excellent taste ;)

I would never know; I am always amazed by bi- and multi-lingual folks on here when I struggle to make my point in my only language! No, this is the same ambiguity that a native speaker would introduce -- I was not making fun of your English! I just "chose" to interpret the sentence in the way I found most relatable. :mrgreen2:

Some day, Imma gonna have enough saved for a blue sapphire and I'll need a sapphire bestie to help me out. You interested? I'll bring snacks.

Omg can I join???!!! You can start a thread and I can obsess over it with you for months on end!!!

What shade of blue? How many carats? Heated or unheated? What shape?

Haha I love shopping for blue sapphires because I feel like they are achievable! Unlike rubies where you’ll get a tiny shard for some hideous price which doesn’t inspire any fun or satisfaction!

Are you kidding me right now. Of
c o u r s e you can join! That would be outta this world for me! Sidekicks, snacks and sapphires? What more could we want?

Now the tricky bit. I am (sadly) far far away from having the funds but if we're gonna dream (and it's what I live on these days, dreams), this chicken is thinking around 2 carats or slightly above in a (highly coveted I know, but this is a d r e a m dear lady) saturated silky cornflower blue. Round or cushion.

Sigh... thanks for soaring with me <3

Oh It will be so much fun!!!! Heated or unheated?

We could have a colour board of goal sapphires!

I'm not fussy on heat either way to be honest. That's a great idea!!! Let's do it!
I should have been keeping inspiration shots, but I didn't. I'll see if I can dig up Acinom's sapphire, that's where it all began for me LOL.

Community service … Ha! Ha! So true.

I’d be honored!

It’s my favorite too.

My wee little royal blue! Not bad at all, although I’m not sure how it would hold up at 8 carats.

Is it weird that I collect blue sapphires in an almost experimental way? I bought this one because I needed a rummage ring and also to see how she holds up in different lighting.

There are so many different blues in sapphire that I tend to do the same…collect different origins and shades. They are all beautiful.

Love the color of this snot sized sapphire!

Do you have a favourite shade?

I really love my pastel. lol no one else does but I love it.

I like the snot Royal a lot more than I thought I would.

In my search there was a gorgeous cornflower blue (it sparkled like a diamond) but it was 3 carats so cost a fair bit more and I couldn’t justify wacking it into a rummage ring (see what I mean by settle).

Just purchased this antique sapphire ring. Loved how different it was. I have a beautiful faceted sapphire and loved the cabachon in this one. IMG_5147.jpeg
