Erm... yes a lot of pearls so I shall plead too much work to move all the pearls out to take a group photo
@Daisys and Diamonds what kinda of pearls do you still have on your wish list? and what lengths?
Everything !!!! (i mean one day i want a Wilma Flintstone !)
I need to concentrate on my restringing projects so all the strands i have are wearable so i plan to get more accurate calipers and then buy a mixed freshwater by the inch strand from PP
Then get some cheapie Swarovski crystal faux pearls to work out sizing
them id like to get creatine and make a tin cup necklace inspired by @MakingTheGrade
I want to make one incorporating rose quartz but will likely go with the left over strawberry quartz if i go that route with my Whitby jet rework
Then i want to make an ombre strand using freshwater white/cream to pink/ peach
Then i really want a pearl ring and some more comfortable earings - dangles probably but id like a big mabe pair too
My list is endless and im influenced by everyone who posts in the pearl threads
I love your enthusiasm! Yes, you have so much to do! Neat projects lined up! Love the freshwater ombre idea. MTG's ombre strand has found its way into our hearts! We all have that bug!
I love it!
These are awesome! Is that a Stackers box?
It was an inexpensive jewelry box from Amazon. I bought it specifically for my pearl strands...keeps them organized without storing in plastic bags (as pearls need moisture).
I just looked and it's a little more than I paid but still not too bad.

Oooo I think I’m gonna get the white one!
@Daisys and Diamonds,
I just learned yesterday that Swarovski is going to stop making all their loose crystal components (beads, pearls, pendants, flatbacks etc.) in March this year. I remember you like the Swarovski pearls. If you want to stock up, don't wait too long.
Gorgeous collection, but also, stunning wedding dress! So elegant! Stands out from most dresses I see nowadays.I’ve been meaning to get over here and post my pearl collection. It is modest by most standards. I am in awe of many of your collections and never tire of seeing all the luscious strands and creative pieces that you all come up with. I am finally able to appreciate the variety and quality of pearls available because of this forum. This really has been a winter for pearls for some reason.
I took this photo a few weeks ago for fun because the decoupage art piece seemed to call out for something dramatic. So..... pearls, of course. Perfect timing for this thread!
Now for my full collection...
It includes:
9mm blue baroque akoya, 18 in
8mm white baroque akoya, 18 in
13mm Tahitian circle strand, 18 in
A group of 3 - 6mm delicate pink, silver and cream freshwater strands, 18 in
9-9.5 mm freshwater rounds, 18 in
This is my most special pearl piece.
It was the strand I bought for my wedding in 2019 from Caleb Meyer Studios. They were handpicked by the pearl buyer there and have an 18kt gold hand forged clasp.
7mm silver round, 16 in. Don’t know what type. Bought via an estate sale from a friend. They are quite lustrous and of a good quality I think.
I just had them restrung.
8mm , 30 in strand of cultured pearls. Don’t know type, but they are a nice quality.
I like that they’re versatile. I can wrap 2xs around, leave them long and plain, or long and gathered with a pin midway.
Golden SS and Tahitian pendants.
An antique blister pearl ring in 14kt gold.
A mix of earrings and a couple of bracelets.
The 4 drop earrings are handmade with FW pearls in 18 Kt gold.
My most warn pieces are my Tahitian dangle earrings, Golden SS pearl drop pendant and Tahitian bangle on neoprene with 18kt gold fastener from Linneys in Australia.
On my wish list is a Tahitian multicolor strand.
Hope to see more of your inspiring collections!
