Thanks so much, @yssie for your kind words My shopping methods re pearls and other jewels are a bit haphazard and it shows.
I have gotten more and more selective over time and lots of enjoyment out of what I have thus far.
Definitely looking forward to adding a multicolored Tahitian strand to the mix.
I love the look of a longer strand, but tend to go for a more delicate look, rather than bold. I’m afraid I wouldn’t reach for a long strand as much.
I’m thinking 18”, maybe 9.5 to 11.5mm size range, round or off round.
A couple years back CMS had this set that was tempting. The understated colors seemed to complement my skin tone.

The timing isn’t quite right for a multicolor shopping trip, but when it is I will be tapping all of the collected wisdom right here in this forum. I’d be thrilled to have your input when that time comes.

Thank you. Honestly, I seldom wear them.

This post made me dig out my slash. I got this baby Japan pearl 20 years ago as well. The gold plated clasp still shine like new without any tarnish. Really impressed with Japan quality!

What a collection! The SS pearls in particular.... seems like once the pearl quest starts, it doesn’t end. There is always another pearl and they are all unique!

All my baby pearls were kept in plastic n fire proof safe n didn’t see daylight for 20 years! Till I started to craze on south sea pearl n Tahitian pearl n got to know pearls need moistures. Luckily my baby pearls are ok n as good as new n didn’t lose its shine

Not all, but here are my April 2021 purchases. All pearls except one necklace of sterling silver beads in there. I bought a "grab bag" of vintage pearls online, and I know pretty much nothing about any of them. Except I love them. Some are pink, some are green, some are huge and silver/gray and iridescent (the bracelet). I love the necklace with coin shaped pearls.
