Show Me Your Diamond Studs!

I have the EarringLock system on my diamond studs. It's very easy to use and totally secure. The post isn't released until you squeeze the back to make 2 holes line up. It won't work with just any post, however-- it has to be the EarringLock post.
I honestly wish I had these on all my studs.

Stuller carries them:

They look gorgeous @DorotheaBrooke! I hear you on not wanting to deal with the hassle of selling, and the Cartier necklace does look lovely on you.

And how exciting you are doing a project with Maytal Hannah, her work looks beautiful. I'm surprised she's not recommended more here on PS. If I was going to do a custom reset I would go with her.

Thanks so much, Junebug! I decided to keep the Cartier necklace because it does make a nice set with the earrings, and I'm sure no one in real life would notice a difference in sparkliness. I'm excited about my project with MH. She created my 10 year anniversary ring, so it's fun to go back to her for my 15th. And I'm already thinking about some big bling for my 20th. :P2

Here are my new Forevermark studs, 1.13 carats each (2.26 total). Happy 10th anniversary to me!!!

Another forevermark girl. Gorgeous

Haven't had a chance to really admire them myself with life being so busy and all, but I've still managed to find enough time to add a few more colored diamonds to the family and am so excited to share here. 8)

The dangles I picked up in Canada and are graded FVY, but the SO snatched the paperwork for safekeeping before I could get the rest of the stats on them :P ... The studs are FLY rose cut cushion studs in "generic" yellow gold baskets... For now... Hoping to reset them in a way that mimics a foil backed look, but still accentuates the yellow color too... Decisions, decisions... :')

ETA, sorry for the ginormous pictures... And horse hay... hehe...

new to the community; if i should post this somewhere else, please direct me. but i'm buying my first pair of studs and am torn between yellow gold and white gold. i've seen very few yellow gold settings on earrings here and if anyone had any to share (along with the ctw) i'd be so appreciated. also, will it affect resale when i upgrade? i know the diamonds look bigger with a white setting, but all my jewelry is yellow gold, which is why i was conflicted. thank you!

Gorgeous. Could we see it on your ears please?

Ok! Will do tomorrow as I am working now!

Figured I'd share these as they used to be my "go-to-wear-everyday-set". They're about 1cctw and 2cttw SI and high color D-J, they're still my go-to when I want something uber "secure" feelingbut I find myself grabbing my colored diamonds these days and so my lovely studs aren't being given the attention they deserve. ETA, I don't use the rubber backings as the friction backs on these re-sets were plenty secure enough for me.

I love this!!! Stunning.

C623AA8C-41C9-4EF6-9CB0-B37DC8F3DDB1.jpeg Not sure if I’m allowed to share here because they are not traditional solitaire studs. Victorian 18 karat yellow gold, silver topped where the diamonds are set. OMC centres with OEC surrounding diamonds. IJK colour SI VS2 clarity. Somewhere between 3.2 and 3.5 carats total (the setting makes it impossible to measure the diamonds depth)

Be still my heart! I have a weakness for antique jewelry and those are stunning!

They are a beauty!

I am excited to add mine to the mix! They are Victor Canera European round diamonds, 1.1 ct (6.55 mm) each in a Victorian 6-prong setting that he created. I am in complete awe of them!!:love:

I LUV them also!:appl:

I believe I posted the previous iteration of these. I had them remade with larger stones to get some more oomph.

Center stones .95 and .96 F VS2 / SI1 respectively. Both Blue Nile Astor Ideals - wonderful stats, completely eye clean, a great match, bought over 10 years apart. Cluster stones are 9 x 15pts per earring (ideal cut, colorless, eye clean), meaning the earrings are 4.6 ctw and approximately 15mm across.

Set in platinum by DKJ.

I‘d like to share mine, but ask for opinions also. First, I‘m not emotionally attached to them at all. One was the stone from my ER from an Ex, (.92 SI2 G uncertified), and the other is one I bought after I re-married and wanted a mate to form a pair of studs (.90 SI2 G with „ok“ proportions). I‘d like to get a better pair, but not necessarily a bigger pair, for daily use. These measure about 6.0-6.12mm. I have what I think are relatively large lobes, but I‘m also tall (5‘9“) with long blonde hair. Photos attached to show the size proportions on my lobe. Do these seem small or proportional to you??? It‘s difficult to gauge proportion from everyone‘s photos. The center stone from my E-Ring is a 1.5ct PC set in a SK halo, so I‘m trying to keep them all in the right ratio. (And there‘s the slippery slope of me wanting a diamond solitäre pendant at some point that is around 6.5mm....)

The pros for these are that I think they are a decent size for everyday use. The cons are that I ran the .90 stone through the HCA calculator and it came out a dismal 6.x. I really want a pair that has an ideal cut for much more sparkle.

Note....replacing these will not prevent me from also getting a larger pair for more special occasions. I know I can go bigger (such as 4ctw).

Oh I am in awe too! Just sheer perfection!

So through the years, I have went from 1/4 ctw, to .40ctw, to, .80ctw, to 1.20ctw, and now my dream size, 2.04 ctw set in 4prong martini setting in 14kwg. F color, eye clean I1s, 1.07 and .97, 6.39mm each I envy you ladies who have small earlobes but I am not complaining... I never thought I would be lucky enough to have diamonds on my ears this size!! 20190303_134348.jpg 20190303_134112.jpg 20190303_140624.jpg 20190303_140137.jpg 20190303_135832.jpg 20190303_134147.jpg 20190303_132337.jpg 20190303_134348.jpg
