Show Me Your Diamond Studs!

These diamond studs are 10 yr upgrade in the making! I had originally purchased .25 ctw mall quality diamonds a decade ago and never really loved them from day one. They fit my lobes nicely, sparkled a little and fit the budget at the time.

My love is for rings/bands and so I always focused my jewellery budget on those. I’m pretty content with my ring collection right now (with one bucket list item), and the time has come to update my studs.

I was initially set on MRBs in a martini setting, but the allure of all things old cuts kept calling to me. The Peace & Carat line by OWD was exactly what I was looking for.

Here are my new beauties - .71 ctw I/SI 1 OECs that I can’t stop admiring.

Congratulations. They are so pretty.

I'm expecting two sets of JA preset lab created studs soon so in the meantime more of my bezels I already have. First set are 1/3 ct, second are 1/4 ct, third are 1/10 ct. They're not the greatest quality but great little everyday studs. On my one ear my second piercing was done incorrectly (I had them done twice) and its closer to my first ones because of it. 20200814_170731.jpg20200814_170708.jpg

Congratulations they look amazing and huge to me. In a good way

I got my JA studs! One set is 0.50 ct, one is 0.25. I feel like I already have DSS! I ordered a second set of 0.25 for my third piercings but now im thinking I need bigger for the first one, put the 0.50 in the second and the 0.25 I already have in the last piercing.

0.50 in first, 0.25 in second, my baby 0.10 not good quality bezels in third until I get the others or decide to get the bigger ones.

I put the other 0.25 in my third piercing in this one to get a feel of how all three sets will look. What do you think? Is this good for now or should I get 0.75 for the first set? Or even 1 ct?

By 0.5 for the large ones do you mean tcw of 0.5 or 0.5 each? I actually think your set looks great as it is

Thanks! The set is 0.50 total in the first piercings now, so 0.25 each. Thank you!

I agree @ThiaChelf I think they look perfect on your ears! Very pretty!

Here are my J’s. They are .61 each H&A’s. VS1 and VVS1.

Sooo, I had these for awhile and I do not find myself reaching for them as much. I am thinking of making them into a 5 stone ring. Do you think I should budget and save for the same size stones?

Me E-ring is a G. The bezel bracelet is an E.

Those are beautiful. I have the guardian backs but they were too much of a hassle so I decided to use the backs of another pair of 18 kt gold earrings I have.

@Iola80 thank you!!

im not sure if my la pousette are by guardian. but they don't give me problems unless im in a massive hurry to be out the door and i've just put on hand cream.

i believe there are several or at least 2 companies that manufacture la pousette. i understand they are the most secure though. i just hate losing earrings.

These are so sweet and look beautiful on you!
I'm actually debating on making classic basket style earrings for the two 4.5mm OECs that I have but worry that I won't think they're big enough, but yours look perfect for your frame & are seriously making me want to pull the trigger on fabrication.

Are you enjoying their size and what is the diameter for your lovely gals?

Yes, they are the same thing.

@Iola80 Sorry, i didn't mean to be so confusing in my earlier post...
There's the protektor and guardianII perhaps try protektor if guardian gives you trouble... just an idea...

Thank you! I absolutely love them, and so happy I get to call them my own. Diameter is 4.4mm which I honestly was worried would be too large for my lobes since I was so used to my .25ctw, but I feel they really are the perfect size for me. Definitely have a presence without being overly so.

There’s just something about OECs and their facets that lend themselves so beautifully. I don’t think you’d regret seeing the sparkle on your ears when you catch a glance in the mirror if you did decide to go with getting them set!

@luxe What size are the smaller studs in your pic? Do you have more pics of the OEC's? :kiss2:

The smaller pair are my original .25 ctw MRBs. Tried to take a couple more of the OECs, but it’s a gloomy day and the lighting isn’t doing me any favours!3AB78437-1FA0-4E9E-8692-C3C78DBC67A5.jpeg1A39D8C9-8CFA-481E-A935-2963E38008FF.jpeg

Love those! The setting suits the stone so well and I love the size too!

My princess studs are ~.8 ctw, I’m not sure what the color/ clarity are because my dad got them for me when I was maybe 15 and I knew nothing about diamond specs back then. The tiny stud in my tragus was my first pair of diamond earrings that I got as a little girl... they measure 3mm.

I’ve been dreaming about 2ctw studs for a while .
