My mum's birthday is coming - thinking of gifts for her. Would a Dior Jewellery be too young for her? She is turning 70 soon.

one time i saw this really pretty summer skirt that on reflection was too short for mum, but i could not resist buying it for her
she said when she opened the parcel she felt so young

she was quite a good sewer and repurposed the fabric into a top

she would have told me if she didn't like it

im really glad i brought it for her because i could hear the joy in her voice when she said how young she felt

buy it for your mum, 70 isn't even old these days

Hi everyone, just wanted to share some pics of my latest little treat. It's a precision cut lab spinel ring 9-7mm. Ignore the setting as I bought it specifically for the stone and will get it reset.

Thank you so much! Even though they're fake, I love them. They are cleaned at least once per week and have posh living accommodations.

The white EC is just that, an EC, but it has more squat proportions than the usual EC. It has wonderful light play and gorgeous deep facets. I know other people will instantly peg it as fake, but I don't care. It's so much fun!

I'll go round up a few more to post!

This was one of my mom's rings that she referred to as "good costume". When she let me wear it around the house, I felt like a princess. Years later, I came across this earring and necklace set, and thought it was meant to be.

Absolutely! That was cruel of me to mention it without posting photos. I was a bit shy about doing so as I had already posted so many photos of my pretties, but that sounds silly in retrospect. I'm having a bit of a rough spell with my back, but I'll post photos as soon as I can (hopefully within the next couple of hours).

Absolutely! That was cruel of me to mention it without posting photos. I was a bit shy about doing so as I had already posted so many photos of my pretties, but that sounds silly in retrospect. I'm having a bit of a rough spell with my back, but I'll post photos as soon as I can (hopefully within the next couple of hours).

My back was injured by medical negligence. I am heading in to get an injection this Friday into the sacroiliac joint (SIJ for short). It's taken months to finally get this particular injection scheduled. I appreciate your wishes so much; this is a long road I am on and I'm not going to lie, I'm scared to death.

I've had sciatica before and it's HORRIBLE. I am so sorry you dealt with that, but it's wonderful to hear that you're doing so much better!

The tiara is a hoot! It's surprisingly heavy. Hats off (haha, terrible pun) to the women who wear these things for hours.

Most excellent! (Bill & Ted reference - I love their line, "Be excellent to each other"!) She is underrated as a vocalist, IMO. Her voice is unique and she has great control over it. She also has presence - she could pull off some serious bling! By the way, does anyone know if Cyndi Lauper has any notable jewelry? I was scanning the Celebrity Jewelry thread, but I don't recall seeing her there.

if only that tiara was a tad lighter id say plonk it on and it might make you feel a bit better
