Slight overkill on the pearls here, no? Must weigh an absolute ton round the neck!! Guess she was posing for a portrait, probably wouldn’t go out wearing all these.

Love Diana’s cute torsade/choker above. Need to be young to carry that off, though.

Possibly a few less stands on a normal outting !
She had a scar on her neck that she hid with the pearls
She created quite the fashion trend (she also had a limp that some ladies also copied)

She also mixed and matched real and faux pearls
Her DIL Queen Mary was better at pairing it all down and making it a more coordinated look but Queen Alexandra certainly had fun with her pearls
