Show Me Your Favorite Wide Diamond Band Please

If I were doing this project, I'd probably go with three stacking bands for added versatility.

Maybe something like this in the center (I'd probably go with a more delicate bezel):

Or this:

With any number of options for the flanking rings. Fabulous Single Stone eternities? Van Craeynest band? Victor Canera or SS engraved rose gold band?

Tempting Rosebloom, as they are gorgeous, but I think I'd be way over budget. :blackeye:

I haven't lost any stones yet, but it it fairly new. I wear it on my left hand instead of my ering. It is about 7 or 8 mm and it is an eternity, but I think that was a mistake. I am always afraid of cracking the french cuts because of their high crown. My vc is a rhr and I wear it often (today actually) :))

Gawd....that is pretty much my dream ring. What would you think of it with rose cut stones?

Would it be a correct guess that it was well over $5K? If you're not comfortable answering that, I totally understand....

Hi Yenny!
I have to say that I absolutely LOVE  the Tiffany Cobblestone ring. The fact that it has rose cut diamonds sets it apart from most others. IMHO.. I don't think you need to make it more unique. It's fabulous just the way it is. I also just LOVE  the Schlumberger Vigne ring and I'm always trolling Ebay for one in my size.
Thick rings are my thing. Here are two of mine.. both from Cartier. The "C" one actually works out to be a monogrammed one for me as my name begins with "C" :appl:

What gorgeous bands Rubies-R-Me!! I actually took DH to look at the Cobblestone band and saw one we both liked better. It's called the Woven Flower band and isn't on the website. Here's a photo I took. What's cool about it is the the pattern in the center is different all around the ring...really unique. This one may prove challenging to reproduce though.... Grrrr!

Thanks Yenny! :D
Oh my.. I love that new Tiffany band you just tried on! I really have never seen anything like that from Tiffany. Such beautiful flowy lines..
I do just adore wide bands too! ;))

Oh Yenny that is stunning and I have to say I like it just as much as the cobblestone. I actually think Steven Kirsch could do this particular design very well as he did something like it I believe for a client not to long ago.

Sadly, I didn't get any other photos Freke, as I assumed (incorrectly) that I could see more photos on the website. The Tiffany isn't super close to my home, but if I head in that direction, I'll definitely swing by for some additional photos!

Hmmm, you think that SK could make a ring like this? It might be worth a call!! Thank you!

For this ring I think any of the big 3 could do it. I would also check with JbEG, SS, ERD and HM. I think between those 7 you should have a good range of choice.

That's good to know SB, thanks. The lady at Tiffany gave me a song and dance that the ring was $17k for 1.10 ct of stones because the design was really complicated to execute. I certainly prefer your prediction!! :D

Oh my gosh, it was MORE than the Cobblestone band! Yikes! I was hoping it would be less!!! I think it is beautiful, too! I would be VERY afraid to try to copy something like that. I think Cobblestone might be easier to do. It is a shame that the Carl Blackburn rings are holding up because that or Beverley K are more along the lines of the newer one.

I hate to think how much that VanC ring is, because the setting I want is $4k and has just a few diamond chips. That one is probably well over that BEFORE adding in the diamonds. (Iluvcarats...you have some of my dream jewelry!!!)

Yenny, remind me of what size you want this ring to be considering wider bands often need to be larger than a thin ring.

DS, I was shocked when I heard that the Woven Floral band was more than the Cobblestone.

I have looked at the Bev K and Carl Blackburn bands. I haven't seen one that's exactly what I'm looking for, but will continue to look. Yikes! If the VC setting you want is $4k, the one I like is likely over $10k. ;( I'll have to save for another few years before I could afford that! I so wish I had bought the eBay band I posted on page 1. It wasn't my dream ring, but I think it might have scratched my itch. ;)

I need a 6.5 in a 9-10mm band.

DS to the rescue!!!!!!!!!

I think the Tiffany sales person was full of it personally. I don't think it is a terrible complicated design to reproduce. I think she was just trying to deter you from thinking otherwise.

That's really pretty LJL. I love the SS eternities too...also the Van Craeynest, but to get a stack of 5 (which at around 2mm each, is what I'd want....2 platinum and 3 either rose/yellow gold), I'd be at about the same price as the Woven Floral band at Tiffany. I just don't have that kind of budget.

Thanks Rubies-R-Me! It's worth asking for a handshot (for a sense of perspective). The price and size are definitely right!! :appl: I appreciate your help!

You are so welcome! :wavey: Do post a pic if they send you a hand shot.. it would be fun to see.

Yenny, I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for, but I thought of you since it had rose gold and platinum. This is actually a men's band with cognac diamonds, but I told him that it would be gorgeous for a woman made with pink or white diamonds (in any width). I'll tell you, I am impressed with the craftsmanship of this ring. I think Victor can make about anything. So keep that in mind.

That is really pretty DS! It's funny, I have been looking at men's bands on eBay too...

I think I may have hit the analysis paralysis wall on this project. I am just not sure what I want anymore, so I may table the project for now. I just don't know. :?

"Analysis Paralysis" That's hilarious!! I have never heard that before..

May I feel free to borrow that phrase?
