picked it up today
it really sparkles under the shop lights and in the sunshine

they are set very low into the pendant so no way will i loose them- i 'lost' them on the floor about twenty times, its a miricle i still had all three
and it wont poke into my skin if it flips (i dont think it will flip)

must set up cell phone
sigh

Hi Daisy! I have another sort of fixed repair/rescue much too long winded story here for you! :) ❤️

Ok so way back years ago my mom passed away. Not too long after I wanted to get something of a memorial pendant. And since pearls were her favourite we decided to go with a pearl. We had been visiting the BX and we saw those little silver pearl cage pendants. No black or grey, which would have been my preference!! But pink was there so we picked up a pink one and I wore it for awhile but never really warmed up to the pink. And nobody told me I could change it either. So the pendant kind of ended up at the back of the box and then at the back of the bank box for years. Until last year when my dad brought me some of it and I found the memorial pearl and I put it away again.

It wasn't until I started going hard for pearls again thanks to getting re bitten by the pearl bug (Thanks Pearl section ladies xD) that I started to wonder if I could take the pink pearl out and use one of my own pearls instead

Turns out the cage wasn't sealed like I thought it was. So I snatched one of my dyed freshwaters that I had set to the side because it had an unremovable knot stuck inside. So I thought I would probably have to throw it away but wasn't quite ready to give up on the pearl yet.

But it fit perfectly in the cage. So I polished up the cage a little and now I am wearing my memorial pendant quite happily again. Hopefully this counts as a fixed repair xD I definitely think it was a rescue lol and sorry for the side view only. It kept rolling over so I gave up lol.

this is beautiful
well done !
and a lovely memorial to your mum
and a very useful addition to your jewellery wardrobe
you need to also post over on the pearl page to show the other pearl gals

sometimes i think timing just has to be right
you kept that pearl for a reason, you just had to figure out what it was for

So the bracelet with the lock w the diamond was originally bought by me when I was maybe 18 (my first real jewelry purchase). It was a 14k white gold hollow rollo that I had all of my childhood necklace pendants set onto as charms. That's how I learned I can't tolerate a charm bracelet. I broke it twice from sparingly wearing it over the years. A few months ago I clipped off all the charms and it just sat. I recently had jump rings soldered onto it so I could wear it with my MA locks and I couldn't be happier. Stack is a mix of silver, white gold, yellow, rose, and green gold. I love the chunk and the texture of it all (and it'll be hard to break).

Reclutteresat some jewelry from my father and my husband. I don’t wear a lot of pieces that consist mainly of melee. But it’s not like I’m going to throw out jewelry from my hubby and my dad. So my area jeweler took out all of the diamonds in these pices and made a necklace. Diamonds range from 4mm to 1.5mm, except for four tiny ones which I set in a small disk which you can see in the front. The necklace is 14k white gold, 17.5” with an inch extension. 9 old pieces — 4 earrings, 3 pendants, and 2 rings.

This necklace is so sentimental that I would like to wear it often. Anybody have experience with bezel station necklaces? Are they safe to wear every day?

On the end is a LGD from a middle finger ring that I liked… but I have so many rings, so why not make use of it here.

Thanks for looking. I have 2 more declutteresets in the queue plus two repairs. Thanks to @Daisys and Diamonds inspiration, I will have a lot less-but-more wearable jewelry by the end of the year.

I re-re-set this one. It was pretty when all the diamonds faced up but I was not a fan of how they looked when they flipped. Also the diamonds did not go all the way around.

The new setting still flips but the links are pretty on both sides, and the diamonds are evenly spaced all the way around. The leftover diamonds went into a pendant.

as beautiful as the first reset was, its no good if it flips and that annoys you
the 2nd rework is also beautiful, i love the heart, i hope you get lots of wear out of these family diamonds
i think the necklace will be a very useful addition to your jewel box, perhaps it can even become an everyday wear

Thanks, the chain looks great with casual outfits so the chain will get a lot of use. The heart is blingier than it looks in photos so that piece will be more for special occasions.

The amazing and incredible David Klass recut this chipped half moon diamond for me on a ring that I was sending to consign with JBG

It's a very lovely second version! Congrats and I hope it gets a lot of wear :)

Personally, I'd probably add a brooch pin to the hear and make the pendant loop removable. I'd also hang it from one of the rings on the new chain. That should prevent it from flipping.

Not a big one, but I had this length of watch chain in the back of my jewelry box that's just been sitting there for a few years. The price was very good, so I bought it thinking I might be able to use the links to make a too-short chain more wearable. Well, I now have a couple of chains I love, and didn't see a need to keep this partial chain, so I thought about selling it, but then decided to have my jeweler remove a few links and add a jump ring. Voila, I have a new bracelet! I've never really been a bracelet person, so I don't know how much wear this will get, but I enjoy having the option!

that is so pretty
i hope you wear it a lot

I'd been looking for a cute horseshoe pendant, and most were terribly out of my price range, so I found this little guy on ebay and took a chance.

The stones are mixed quality, but the diamonds are little old mine cuts, and the rubies look natural. Had my jeweler convert it to a pendant.
