Hehe I actually considered that strand too but am still holding out for a deep gold keshi strand. We will see how long that will power lasts
I selfishly support your decision, MTG.

Yes, the magnet is very strong. It takes a good effort to pry it apart which I like!Do you find the magnet feels safe and secure? Your Moline pearls - they are just so beautiful! Have you decided on your clasp yet?
I selfishly support your decision, MTG.Pattye looked at the strand and thinks it may be too deep to knot in gold thread. she is going to send samples out to match with the pearls, but I may have to use bronze or oak. What size thread do you use to string .8 holes?
Haha might be worth seeing the Golden’s in person. I find the photos can be tough to interpret. On average my experience is they look lighter in person in most lighting situations since they tend to photograph them at their deepest color context.
Thank you, Lisa. I am so excited about the pearls, the job, and now find out my son had a job offer today. This is a great day.
Did you see the GSS Keshi on Takahashi’s Instagram?Hehe I actually considered that strand too but am still holding out for a deep gold keshi strand. We will see how long that will power lasts
When Cees sent me photos of the circle strand I bought, I thought it might be lighter as it looked pretty deep. Turns out it was absolutely the same color as the photos, and a deep golden color. Yay! It's the same color as the Moline studs, which are the sisters to yours, @MMtwo —hopefully, your strand will be the same color as mine!
I know you asked MakingTheGrade, however I'll throw in my two cents' for stringing. I use #30 (medium weight) from Pattye for .8mm holes. If the holes are large, then I'll add in another strand to make it three, or "double" knot.
We need neck shots! Oh they must be gorgeous!
Thank you!Ohhhhh, so pretty!
Thank you, too (two)! They are lovely !![]()
And thank you, three!Oh gosh! They're beautiful and suit your complexion!
I'd like to include heart-eyed smiley but my phone doesn't allow me.
I don't know how people take good selfies, mine always turn out so blurry. I shortened the length and used Pattye's "Sun" thread. The other pendant is a brooch conversion, 18k and oecs.
The light is going away and this is an east facing window, so color isn't accurate, but you can see how well the thread matches. I would say the neck shot is most accurate in color.

I always manage to look like I have a double chin when taking pearl selfies
That strand looks great on you. The overtones look consistent. Are they a lighter colour in the rings or is it just the photo?
15inches?
Gorgouse golden
They look amazing on you
also love the brooch conversion
@MMtwo Love that Amber!! Can I ask where you bought it? I don’t see an Amber option on her Etsy pageI see the card says “sample” though.
I sent her a note!!I have the Gold, but it’s a bit lighter and more yellow than I’d love - I want a deeper more red/orange thread.
I bought Bronze in a couple of weights but looking at your pics - yeah, that’s not going to work. That’s fine though, I need random thread to keep loosies together and test thickness and whatnot!
