I'm on a roll this morning; finally getting around to posting this. I made this a year ago for our 10th anniversary, so it's not perfect (but I do love the process of goldsmithing!). I had the engraving added later.

.8ish J-ish OEC I found in a pawn shop, with a .49 G I got from Good Old Gold. I had the G made into a pendant, but I just didn't wear it, so I repurposed it for this ring. Size 7.

oops. Sorry to say I don’t remember the exact shop. I think I found them via opal auctions.

You're killing me here! It's 18 months too early. It's my 60th birthday then, and I will be open to aaaaaallll excessive, expensive, over the top, old-lady jewelry suggestions at that time! My DH has given me the option of a major trip, a major piece of jewelry, or something else equally extravagant. I'll be fascinated to see where that process lands!!

My size is U.S 5. For the diameter of the stone, it's 4mm each, in 18k white gold band setting.

I think this qualifies as moi et toi - I also call it a bypass ring. The Etsy shop Rethink Gold made this for me. Irina makes nature inspired pieces and I just love them!

I love mine. It was an eBay find and the old mine cuts are blindingly white and so clear. I had to size it from a 4.5 to 7 but somehow it worked out.

I’m surprised no one has posted the most famous toi et moi ring yet, which Napoleon gave to Josephine. Each stone is just under a carat. It sold at auction a few years ago for $949,000.

Reviving this thread with my recent eBay purchase...







Diamond is a transitional cut, approx 5.8mm across. Was "appraised" as a G/VS1 but looks more like a J/VS2-SI to me. It has strong blue fluorescence, which I love. Ruby is natural, has signs of age, pinpoints and a large fissure(?) or feather or something that goes across nearly the entire middle of the stone, but it's only visible at certain angles and certain lighting; you can see it in the photo above comparing to my .84 G/VVS2 MRB. No certs. Size 7.
