blacksand said:I hate PS! I've never even had an interest in pearls before. I wandered over here just to to see what I could see about the quality of some freshwater pearls I received as a bridesmaid gift. Three days later, I have compiled a pearl wishlist that would take my entire lifetime to be able to afford (that is, if I don't send my future children to college!). I want everything you all have posted. So insanely beautiful.
I think I will get some pearls to wear to my rehearsal dinner (my neck is already claimed for my actual wedding ceremony; I have my mother's lavaliere necklace to wear, but I still want wedding pearls!). Look out for my "help me decide which pearls to buy!" post in the coming months.

I just purchased a pair of 8.5/9mm (natural/undyed etc.) blue Akoya studs from PP. Cannot wait to see them in person - I fell in love as soon as I spied them on the website.
I also noticed their metallic (also apparently untreated) freshwaters - has anyone purchased these? I really like their lustre. When I get a proper camera I'll take photos of my small pearl collection, the jewel of which is a 15.5mm super-colourful Tahitian pendant I bought from Elana about 9 months ago. Here is one not-very-good photo:
I also collect loose SS goldens and baroques, with a view to someday having something unique made with them.
LOVING the pastels posted at the top of this page. I can't get enough of brightly coloured pearls.

This is a freshwater set that I put together (along with a flameworked bead pendant). They're potato shaped creamy white:
The box clasp of the bracelet I reused from a broken piece I found at an antique store. Not the most expensive or exquisite set, but one that I enjoy immensely.
I really enjoy looking at everyone elses pics. A lot of pretty pieces in this thread!

Thanks, CCN. I don't have any more moonstones , so I think the earrings will be simple drops. I expect to get a lot of use from simple silver pearl earrings.cushioncutnut|1290655380|2778818 said:That turned out gorgeous! The moonstone was not my first choice but after seeing it done......... Beautiful! Matching earrings???
