I have a quick question ill just ask in here
pearl paradise recently redesigns their website
i don't know how to look up the strands of pearls that don't come as a finished necklase
and .... i don't remenber what said strand is actually called

This is very pretty but as a pearl knotter, I'm concerned for that knot job. If you did it yourself ok, but if you paid someone, well that's a poor job. Beautiful pearls!

Haha no worries I did it myself. Certainly no pro and only my 4th time doing it. I plan to reknot every month for practice. I’ll get there eventually. If you have any YouTube videos you’d recommend though let me know

Whew! Ok then

Self taught but do you have the needle point tweezers to clutch the thread as close to the pearl as possible? That helps a lot. I know there are 2 thread systems that might be easier, so check those out? Sorry, no recommendations there.

Thank you! These are AAA Akoya pearls, the colour is kinda silvery-white with a pink overtone but I didn’t need to specify the colour when buying from Mikimoto haha, just told them the size (7.5-8mm) and quality (AAA), there’s a thread about it here https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/deciding-between-mikimoto-earrings.258743/ haha!

I was not aware that south sea pearls had that kind of luster! @molinePDG was so kind in educating me. I originally thought that the satin luster was what I liked but once I saw the gem quality luster I fell in love!

Thank you - I prefer silvery white pearls to goldens or Tahitians because I feel that it stands out more with my hair and skin tone.
