I've tried searching on PS...but no success. I really love the look of a pink diamond halo, but can't afford the price.
I'm thinking about a pink sapphire halo set in rose gold for my 1ct ACA (platinum shank with white diamond pave)... Would love a LM
setting. Thanks!

Diamonds by Lauren has a lot of pink halos you could check out.

thanks gals.
i'm thinking about light pink saphs that look similar to pink diamonds (that peachy pink color). do you think this is possible? I don't know much about gemstones! I just can't swing an extra $1K to $3K for pink diamonds (that was the price for pinks in a recent quote that I received).

They may look similarly coloured in a still photograph, but they will look very different IRL - sapphires simply do not have the diamonds' dispersive capabilities, and you will see a very different type of performance from a sapphire halo. If you're looking for the "look" of a diamond halo, I would just save for the diamonds - a sapphire is beautiful in its own right, but if you're looking for a diamond substitute I think you may be disappointed.

yssie makes a great point. I wear a halo set with light purple sapphires (about .03 carats each). The sapphires add color to the setting, and they do sparkle, but not in the same way diamonds do. The sapphires have a "flatter" quality to them, which makes them great stones for defining and emphasizing a shape, and creating an attractive "border" around a center stone. They are also hard enough for daily wear. But they do no have "fire" the way diamond melee does.

If you want the pink color to emphasize the halo, and complement the brilliance of the center diamond without adding additional sparkle, sapphires will work just fine.

But if you want the look of a halo set with diamonds (the fire, the brightness, the sparkle) along with the color, then I agree with yssie -- save up for the pink diamonds.

Another thing to consider, I'm not sure LM will work with pink sapphire melee.

Excellent points. I think I will save up for the pink diamond setting. In the meantime, I'm coveting the JBEG "modified" Julia.
