i love the reverse taper on that setting. if i remember it was meant to be a temporary setting but it's so lovely, hope you enjoy it for a good long while =)

I'm so glad you like it, @bludiva!

This became a permanent setting a while back. It's got so much love and effort in it, and I absolutely adore how it turned out. I can't imagine a prettier solitaire setting that I'd like better than this one. So this is it for me - unless I segue to a 3 stone. But even if I *were* to do a three stone, I don't see it happening with this stone, so I think one will remain as is. This really is my Beloved. ::)

@mrs-b, I love the modifications you've made to the ring! It was beautiful before but I really do love the slight taper and rounded shank. Such a gorgeous setting and diamond :love:

Thanks so much, @LLJsmom :wavey: As well as rounding the shank, I also added a second wrap to the solitaire, to make it a little more prominent/obvious. I really like it. The basket is untouched and those fleur-de-lys prongs retain their original perfection. The decals on the backs of each ring are still there.

The five stone ring became a seven stone ring and was reset more tightly - also with a rounded shank. There was also a single prong that wasn't perfectly symmetrical, so that was fixed when the whole ring was redone. If you're interested in seeing it, it's in the 'Beloved' thread.

At the moment I'm sending both me and Amy crazy over the plain gold band to finish the set. I seriously would not take me as a client if I were a jeweler....

Thanks so much, @Dmndsr4evr11 - I love this set and am actively enjoying wearing it.

Still contemplating a three stone, but not yet. Actually, not for a while - and that's *if* I go ahead with it. We'll see.

Either way, I get to wear the most delicious solitaire in the meantime! <3

It’s just under 4ct and this ring is 5.25 (I wear anything from 5-5.5). Here’s the thread!

Well..I headed over to read the thread and realized I did read it!! It was one of my favorites then and it still is!! It’s absolute gorgeous and huge!!! I love it!
