#JOTW Show me your solitaires please!

Sorry about my delay in contributing to this thread, LLJ.
Wanted to wait until I was at the 'proper' computer to resize my photos!

Perhaps my photos will show you that all the agony regarding carat size is really not that important in the bigger scheme.
I think both these diamond sizes look lovely!

Normally I wear the 'family ring' as a RHR on my middle finger, but I put it on my left so I could take the photo.

loveumore, so beautiful!! It's lovely. Congratulations!!

Congratulations on your engagement, loveumore! You have a beautiful ring that looks lovely on your finger!

Thanks Kalomeli, LLJsmom, SgrPlum and Paula :wavey: . My wedding band is from Bluenile. Ctw is 0.25, 19 diamonds. I was surprised at how much the band plays up my e ring diamond.

Motownmama, love your solitaire and your stack. However, I think we need a couple more threads to hold all the different combos of your stacks! ;)

Here is mine, It is a 1.57 on a 5.5 finger.

lknvrb4, your cushion solitaire is beautiful. And it looks really big. I love just seeing it's lovely outline and faceting. It's great to see it without a halo too. I can focus on it. There are lot of solitaires out there. I'm so happy people are sharing.

Here is my juicy fat pear - 1.02 carat, D colour, VS2.

Alex T, gorgeous, and glamorous. I don't know why but those are the first two words that come to mind when I see your "juicy fat pear".

I can't believe you are considering changing your ring! It is gorgeous!

I saw that Mayk mentioned my rings (thanks!!!), and I had figured my setting had been posted before now since several people have it. I, too, have struggled with what to do with my diamond, because I think it would be beautiful in an antique style setting. However, I don't want my rings to be too "fancy" because I dress extremely casually 95% of the time. So I have a mental conflict about what to do!!!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics, handshot and my two favorite pics. Setting is Vatche U-113, size 5.75 (but I really wear 5.5), diamond is an AVR 2.29 cts, I VS1.

Good luck with your own decision!

diamondseeker2006, (sigh of relief...) I was wondering where your sparkly flower was. Would not be a real solitaire thread without your AVR beauty!! Ok, I'm going back to your pics now...

Thank you! I was recently obsessively trying to decide about a reset myself and got nowhere, so that may have been why I subconsciously didn't see the thread!

LLJ's mom - here's a simpler presentation............

I love the pattern on your stone! The solitaire setting seems to showcase it so beautifully. But, I also understand the feeling of wanting to change settings. How long have you had it in this setting?

I keep coming back to this thread to enjoy the beautiful solitaires!

DS: I hope you keep the current setting for your dreamy stone. I love the elegance and beauty of your ring. Lovely pics!!!!

Here's the solitaire my boyfriend and I picked out together. 1.5 ct J VS2 from Whiteflash in the Fine Line setting. It will be my e-ring when he proposes. I absolutely love it.

Nooo please don't do anything to take away from the loveliness which is your stone DS!
Perhaps I am in the minority here, but I absolutely adore an unadorned solitaire!

I think mine qualifies, even though it is not a standard prong set. Specs: 1.89ct K SI1, Early Ideal Cut circa 1920s, die struck platinum vintage mount.

I do think of a reset sometimes. I would like side stones if I could ever find a similarly lovely vintage mount!

Not sure whether mine qualifies as it has a tapered shank and sidestones:

Love that top down view Acinom! Gorgeous!!

Lovely lovely stone and setting. So unique and shows off your stone perfectly...

Love looking at everyone's solitaires. They are all so beautiful and classic!
