Kelli, Your ring is beautiful! It looks so pretty with your wedding band.

Hmm, can't seem to quote pics, but...

Frisbee, your stone is so wow it's almost an OW! Beautiful ring all round

Thanks! :) The wedding band is a 10kt white gold band that my boyfriend (now husband) slipped on my finger on our one year anniversary (we got married on our tenth!). Its from…. Montgomery Ward. The diamonds were pretty bad but when he expressed that he'd like to use this as our wedding band (he's pretty sappy about that stuff) I had a local jeweler change them out for decent looking stones. It's not the most valuable ring monetarily speaking but it means a lot to me. Any of the gorgeous settings I dream about will have to live on my right hand:)

Hi all! I love this thread! Beautiful droolworthy rings indeed!!! Here is my contribution. Enjoy!

My 18K yellow gold ring from Erika Winters bridal line! Like "polished" I too miss wearing yellow gold and wanted one as a wedding set, so I got one made. :) I still need a wedding band to complete the set, but in the meantime will be using whatever bands I have on hand. Some quick shots from my phone when it arrived. Specs: 0.85 carat S/T OEC, ring size 4.5.

SO perfect! :appl: Will you go with matching bands, or unique to each of you?

That is gorgeous!!!

motownmama-- we are going to Tiffany &Co to try on wedding bands this weekend! We want to get matching bands. Once we determine what we like, we will probably use a PS vendor to make rings for us (cheaper).

I can't believe you are considering changing your ring! It is gorgeous!

I saw that Mayk mentioned my rings (thanks!!!), and I had figured my setting had been posted before now since several people have it. I, too, have struggled with what to do with my diamond, because I think it would be beautiful in an antique style setting. However, I don't want my rings to be too "fancy" because I dress extremely casually 95% of the time. So I have a mental conflict about what to do!!!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics, handshot and my two favorite pics. Setting is Vatche U-113, size 5.75 (but I really wear 5.5), diamond is an AVR 2.29 cts, I VS1.

Good luck with your own decision!

Diamondseeker2006 - I really enjoyed looking at this thread, but it is your beautiful ring that convinced me that my next ring should be a Vatche U-113. Thank you so much for posting.

I love your warmer coloured OEC diamond, lovesvintage, set in that gorgeous yellow gold setting. Is the band "brushed" gold?

Such beautiful rings!!! This thread really helped me when I was trying to decide what I wanted for my recent upgrade so now I will add my own solitaire. It is a 2.5 carat I VS1 Brian Gavin Signature diamond in their classic Tiffany half round platinum setting with the matching wedding band on a size 5.5 finger.

These are my two solitaires. The platinum one is Mark Morrell .61 AVR D SI2. The yellow gold one is Vatche U113 .56 AVR H VVS2. The solitaire is a style I have found that suits me best. My finger size is 4 and the area between my hand and first knuckle is small. Two rings - I love platinum but CANNOT give up yellow gold, it's part of my era and my DH and best friend love it too!

Oh my goodness I LOVE the prongs and tapering of the platinum one! May I ask which model the Mark Morrell setting is? Do you have any side profile pictures of this setting?

Thanks!

This is my custom David Klass solitaire setting in rose gold

Here's mine:
1.15 ct H VS1 Star129 diamond from Good Old Gold (the bomb!)
newly reset in a Brian Gavin Diamonds Tapered Tiffany setting (Platinum) which is magnificent.

Shown with my Tiffany half eternity Channel set "2mm" band in Platinum and my 2mm plain platinum band and my 1.5 mm spacer in plat (still deciding on that)

Adding my new solitiare:

1.48 I SI1 BGD Blue from Brian Gavin in the Platinum Tiffany Tapered half round six prong setting. I am a size 7.25. This is my favorite setting to date. It really makes the stone pop, yet is low enough for my taste.
