Here you go then. I think these qualify. They are a pink Tourmaline and Tanzanite Wobito Snowflake cut.

How difficult is it to get mountings for some of these with the unusual angles?

Does this count? It's my rose quartz, which the cutting was inspired by a church window. Uli from osirisgems.com is the lapidary.

I LOVE that stone, TL!! There is something very ethereal about it, almost like it's not made of stone, like it's some kind of cloud vapor or mist. I've got to see if Uli can cut me one of those one day, since I was married in a church with a rose window like that. I'm copying it into my ideas file now. . .

All of them are drooool!!! iLander, you have some knockouts -- the citrine is stunning, wish I could see it IRL like crazy. Love the faceting on the Malaya garnet -- brings out the color & brilliance practically blinding, same w/the tourmaline. And TL, I oooohed at your rose quartz, like having a piece of sunset cloud. Want to see it set!

this pendent contains chrome tourmaline that is saturated to the point of colorchange without using a chelsea filter-this pic is shot using flourescent light only so the color is mainly green-steve....

I couldn't resist acquiring beautifully cut stones from Osirisgems... I now got a small collection.
The photo is taken under incandescent light... they are (from left to right): Girasol, smoky quartz, Mexican fire opal, Oregon fire opal and rutilated quartz.

i have several unusual pendents-- 1st is rutiled quartz---next pendent i consider unusual is the alexandrite facited/cabs, cats eye---in incandecent, then flourescent light-steve...

How was Uli to work with for cutting? I have a large piece of ruby rough....i'm looking to maybe get cut? I don't know what is involved and what cost there would be? Guess I should contact Uli directly.

Hoofbeats - the snowflakes are cut by the Wobito Brothers. They have a website http://www.wobito.com and they're the nicest guys ever to deal with. I've been contemplating getting a diamond snowflake!!!

I guess I meant, not a overly unusual cut.....Thank you for the compliment, what I love about spinels is how they change color depending on the type of light they are exposed to. It's like having 3 stones in one!

Do you mind giving us a price range for them? I love the cut but I am sure they are too expensive for me right now. I want to know how much to save up and I don't like calling them when I am still so vague on what I want.
