Sharon, I will help you move your pics. I'll see if I can find them and if not, you can send me the links. Gorgeous pearl necklace, too! I just don't wear the one I have often enough to justify having another with a white pearl.

LLJsmom, I adore that ring!!!

OK DS. Could I be more lame that I cannot move pics? I will post links later.

LLMom--I need to find you and "get" that ring! Would match my Victoria earrings in a totally (there is that word again and I blame Napa and grapes) unmatched way.

cheers--Sharon

Canuk-gal, anytime. It's sitting in the safe deposit box, unworn... You know how hard I am on my hands... Poor thing would barely last a day. Yeah, it would be a perfect match to you beautiful aqua earrings. Hmmm, earrings makes sense. You wouldn't go bashing your head against stuff, so ears would be a safe place for the aquas, right? :)

That is too sad to think of that gorgeous ring in a safe deposit box, LLJsmom! I don't wear my RHR's a lot, but I do have them where I can look at them and take them out to play!

Owning a Schlumberger ring has always been on my dream list!

Here are some not very blingy pieces, but they are some of my favorites and I wanted to share. I like stacking the sterling rings with my white gold solitaire.

I don't own any Tiffany rings (yet!) but I do have quite a few Tiffany pieces. As you can tell, I am slightly obsessed with pendants, lol. Here's my growing collection. LOVE me some Tiffany! Something about those blue boxes is magical.

First up, my Paloma Picasso Olive Leaf heart pendant in 18k gold:

I love Tiffany and have a couple of little things I have never posted. First is an 18k white gold Tiffany clover (or trefoil) key on a 30" Tiffany oval link chain. It came with a 20-22" chain (same one), but I wanted a longer chain so I bought one from Tiffany and use the shorter one for another pendant. Next is a platinum and keshi pearl bracelet. Then there are pics of my current Tiffany pieces.

Nice collection. I have the same clover key.

But my favorite part is your bulldog statue "modeling" all the Tiffs pieces. I own a bulldog and just adore the breed.

My tiffany band..

So pretty Laila!

I love looking at all these Tiffany pieces! There is something so special about their jewelry and that little blue box! I'm such a sucker for Tiffany, although I only own their silver pieces. I'm thinking of picking up a preowned swing band, as that style has always been one of my favorites. Trying to work out a deal with the seller!

Siamese3.. I lovelovelove your diamond band.
So simple and elegant.
I am always looking for something like that but "slightly used."

Here are the aforementioned Tiffany 3 stone ring and eternity band.
I just discovered that this plant that has been sitting in my kitchen for forever makes a great photo prop!

I'm just catching up on this thread and I had to comment - I'm pretty sure I have that same plant!!! Or, at least, one that photographs very similarly...

It's a tiny 5" potted - something - that's been on the windowsill in the master bathroom for as long as I can remember - it must have appeared right around when we moved in. And apparently it's the one plant in the world that I can't kill! Truly, the thing is indestructible, I don't think I've ever even watered it or fed it and it never changes colour, grows, or shrinks... actually, if it wasn't for the dirt in the pot I wouldn't believe it's even alive...

Hah. Just in case you were wondering. You most certainly need the set - they look fabulous stacked together like that  I'll be on the lookout for you!!

I don't like a lot of HOFs bands, actually. Too many are too tall, and generally not proportionally "right." I never could quite pinpoint it, but I know the height took a lot away from some of the styles I tried on.

It took me a while to get to where I was willing to consider Tiffany, but I haven't seen any other channels quite like theirs. The walls are thin enough to not dwarf the stones, which is a big difference from everything else I saw. Most of the others that made narrow bands didn't change the width of their walls at all, and the metal overtakes the stones. These still look like round stones, if that makes any sense. They're also made to individual sizes, vs made at one size and resized down or up as necessary.

And, yknow, it feels like buttah.

I think I was probably reacting to exactly the same things you were ame. They just didn't look *right*, somehow, and many of them were quite a bit taller than I'd want. But I gotta say there were a heck of a lot nicer than some of the other brands - I think I know what you mean about the stones looking "round", some had such imprecise channels that covered so much of the tops and bottoms of the stones, the little rounds looked more like squares with rounded sides

A trip to Tiffany next time I'm in the city is definitely in order!

K8tlyn - congrats!!! Your Lucida is beautiful, and how special to have a Tiffany proprietary shape! :appl:

Siamese I LOVE your band

Ahhh! We have had two bulldogs and that is why I bought the one that sits on our dresser!

Thanks! I like that key because it is more casual than some of the others in wg or plat and can be worn with anything.

Sharon, what is the TCW of your cross? It's so beautiful. And I have to ask, you always seem to have the best second-hand Tiffany pieces, where are your go-to places for finding those pieces?

I have the same one. I think they used to be .50 but now it looks like they are .42:

http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=GRP02372&mcat=&cid=&search_params=p+1-n+10000-c+-s+1-r+-t+platinum%20cross-ni+1-x+-lr+-hr+-ri+-mi+-pp+0+1&search=1&origin=search&searchkeyword=platinum%20cross

I find most Tiffany things on ebay, but I got my cross through this person who used to be on ebay and no longer is.

I just choose sellers with great feedback and items with the boxes. That doesn't guarantee anything since boxes can be purchased, but I am suspicious of items that don't have the original boxes. Like who in their right mind would throw away Tiffany boxes???

I see those crosses all the time on ebay usually for $1500-1800 or so. I'd hold out for one that is like new with the boxes, and just look for good feedback on the seller.

Hey DS! Do you think shared prong tiff band is the kind of thing I should buy off of ebay if I can find it. Or stick with just the normal signed designer retailers? Like Oak Gem and NY estate company? Which don't currently have what I am looking for. I'm debating between the Tiff shared prong half band or a new Bgd dream band.

Hi Yssie!
Yes!! You identified that plant perfectly. Absolutely no care at all and that thing keeps chugging along!! Funny that you have the same one. People should only be this easy to care for. It's so sturdy it make such a great photo prop. :appl:
And thanks for being on the lookout for another ruby Schlumberger ring.. mine needs a mate. I agree!

Thanks, Rubies! It's so comfortable and much more sparkly than I would have ever thought. It's my everyday band.

Thanks Yssie.. I love everything of yours!

If you want a Tiffany band, I'd buy it from either Tiffany directly or one of the signed designer resellers, such as OakGem. They might not get what you want for a while, so if this is timely, get it from Tiffany directly. If nothing else because then you KNOW you're getting one that is Authentic.

If the actual brand doesn't matter, and the BGD is close in design, their stones are pretty nice so I think you'd be happy.

Sure. Oakgem sells on ebay but there are other established Tiffany sellers on there, too. But I have bought from individuals, too. I stick to US sellers with great feedback, boxes, and on rare occasions you can get one with a receipt. I think the sterling is what is copied most, and I just haven't been too worried about platinum pieces and 18k gold. I would far rather have the Tiffany shared prong band because they sit lower than most, plus it will hold value if bought second hand.
