My custom Jeff White Afghan tourmaline (2.23 ct, 8.4x6.8mm) just came in! It's a gorgeous color and cut. I'm planning to set it east west in a basket with prongs in platinum, so it will look a lot like the ring holder it is in.

I also have an Afghan tourmaline with very similar dimensions (2.44ct, 8.3x6.8mm) but a different cut.

I still haven't decided how to set it

What I like - I can get a large stone with saturated colour. This rubellite is 30 ct, 20mm long and 18 mm wide.

Wowza! That is a juicy stone, and the setting is graceful but not overpowering. Love it!

Sorry sketchy indoor image on my green paraiba and she really comes alive when she gets to glow in the sun. Video is my most recent purchase of a certified pink pariaba though to me she has a Violet tone it, I wasn't sure when I brought it but when it came I was in love. Tourmaline is an obsession for me and one I think my Husband wished I would swap for something like doing watercolours lol. There is a rainbow to find out there and this week I've just managed to find one that shifts colour in different lights that I have sent away to get tested. It's fascinating.
