Show me your Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry!

Thank you! It is the mini-Frivole next to the pave sweets?

Silly me!!! I didn't realize who I was responding to!!!

What do you think of the sparkle factor of the pave sweets?

Thank you! I was looking through the VCA thread- not SMTB!

What did you think of the earrings when you tried them on? They look lovely on you. Are you normally a fan of larger sized earrings?

They're pretty but, for me, they didn't have enough presence or sparkle on my ear for the price tag. I do think they would look better on smaller earlobes! But I also think it depends on what you want them for and what you currently have. I think they would make a great everyday earring IF you don't have diamond studs. Since I have a pair of studs, these wouldn't really fit a "need" in my jewelry box. I would rather have the vintage size white gold mop or SO hammered white gold vintage earrings, both you'd spend less, still have a neutral earring and larger presence on the ear.

lol, I love them - they really have good sparkle, and I have smaller-ish lobes, so they fill them nicely. I have big studs - but I actually wear these everyday to work because they are SO comfortable and dressy/classy without screaming that works for my job.

Greatly appreciate if someone has a pair of vintage Alhambra pave RG earrings to show? I really consider placing full deposit for a pair before the price hike.
Do they look sparkly enough for the price tag? The hammered RG looks rather matte to my liking so I wonder if that amount of diamonds is enough to brighten up the matte gold. I specifically consider only RG to match my Perlee bracelet.
Sadly I haven’t got a chance to see or put on, being OOS everywhere.

Thanking everyone in advance

I am clearly biased. I love my pave WG sweets as they are most most worn vca piece. Out of everything. I even got rid of my 2.3 ctw studs because I never wore them anymore after getting these. They don’t have the sparkle of studs but because they are so white and flat they have quite a bit of presence for a stud style of earring. I love the mini Alhambra motif as it is so cute! I returned the mini pave Frivole because i didn’t like the space between each petal on the Frivole. I also love how light weight it is. This is very personal though and plenty of people don’t mind the weight. I am looking to buy another pair of sweets for daily wear because they are so easy and light. A lot depends on how and where you will be wearing these earrings.

Love these RG earrings. They fade away on my skin tone but the diamonds pop even more.

They really look gorgeous on you To get rid of you 2.3ctw studs in favor of these earrings is really saying something about the impact of the sweet pave!

I've never tried on a sweet earring, and in the few times I've been at VCA, I don't think I ever saw a pair in the boutique. I may be too old to wear the sweets (and I'm a little over 5'7" tall, so maybe too large?).

I have the WG small Frivole which I love, but I usually only wear them if I'm going out to dinner, I think I'm looking for "the perfect" earring to wear most of the time.
I recently bought a 1.2ctw studs from WF- which I like, but they are simple studs.

In the handful of times I've been to a VCA - they never had much of a selection of earrings to try on. I sadly think the sweets may be too small for me. I did recently purchase a WF smallish pair of studs. I have a huge amount of hair(!!!) which also hides most of my earrings! I've tried dangle earrings in the past - but they don't look good on me at all.

The funny thing to note about the sweet earrings is that I’ve tried on the ones with stones and those seem smaller because of the difference in the color of the stone and the perlee border which is either yellow or white gold. The WG pave looks larger to me because it’s all one color. So you can’t see the separate diamonds unless you are super up close. But from a distance the whole motif just looks white. I have warmer skin tone so that white really pops on me. And just diameter wise it’s bigger than one carat studs. But you have to like a stud look. So many people told me DONT DO IT!!! It’s too small. But I’m glad I listened to my own gut. I have the WG pave in vintage size too and on a daily basis I wear this one so much more. For daily wear I tend to like earrings that I forget are on.

Studs are my favorite style of earring. Dangle earrings don't look good on me at all. I own a pair of HPD WG inside/out hoop earrings, and they are the only non-stud earrings I have. ( I consider the small Frivole stud type)
The VCA boutique closest to where I live is VERY small- and they never seem to have much in stock. It makes knowing what will look good very difficult, when you can't try on various styles first.

I would suggest you consider buying online. That way you cAn try for a while and get a full refund. Even better than buying at a boutique where you would be stuck with a store credit.

Great suggestion- That sounds like the best thing to do.
-but it feels like I'd be cheating on my SA :)

I get it. But logistics matter. You are the customer and you are doing the best you can. If you are serious I would try to order before the price increase on May 4 or 5.

@Paisley2628 Completely agree with this! Sounds like you love your studs but would like something a little different which I think these would really work for! Doesn’t hurt to order them so you could see for yourself at home without the pressure of the store and so you could try them out and always return.
If I have more everyday options, inevitably something doesn’t get worn but some people like to change it up so there’s no wrong answer!

Please ignore my comment about the price increase. I may be mistaken.

Apparently my pricing update earlier may already be out of date! So ignore, folks!

@Phoenix Could I beg a favour when you have a chance? Could you measure your YG pave Magic earrings for me?

I know the WG pave Magic are slightly bigger than the YG. And I know that one of them is 20mm. But I'm wondering if it's the WG that's 20mm and the YG is a touch smaller, or the YG is 20mm and the WG is a touch bigger!

I have 5 motif RG pave & gmop bracelet and can attest that the pave clovers sparkle like crazy in RG setting. Pics don’t do any justice

Here is my modest collection. The new addition is getting shortened. I took few group shotsB1B162F9-D0B2-4472-B75F-5D594D3BBEB4.jpeg
