Cosmos!! Finally!! Small WG pave
I met my match photographing these. Pave on white metal is beastly! So, sadly, my photos really don't do them justice - they're blindingly sparkly IRL!!
When I originally purchased I was told they'd probably take 6-9 months. Three weeks later my SA texted to let me know they'd come in But VCA took another month and change to adjust them (exchange the posts for longer versions, solder them in, and open the clips a bit), and then I got sick and couldn't pick them up for another couple of weeks... It's been an adventure. But they're home safe and sound in my covetous paws now

Yeahhhh. I get it. Totally. The website photos don’t do anything for me. At all. They look so sterile. And very few people seem to have these, they’re not popular, I think I only found a couple of pics on TPF… Honestly even my own photos don’t do anything for me! White diamond pave on white metal does not look inviting in pictures!! I actually think the on-ear pics show them best - and when is that ever the case!? I saw the WG pave Frivole *bracelet* in-person when I tried on the MOP cosmos (I knew right away I needed those)… And the pave in WG was so lively and sparkly, that’s what made me start thinking about maybe getting the pave Cosmos. If I hadn’t seen the pave Frivole with my own eyes there’s no way I’d have splurged on these earrings.These earrings give me the chills in the best way. Here's what weird about these earrings. On the website and sitting out, they never really struck me as anything that special. Yes, blingy, bright, pave but not "special". One look at this picture, I GET it. The subtle differences from the frivole and other pave earrings make allllll the difference. I love the "dimension". It sinks in a tiny bit in the center, but not too much, like the Pasquale Bruni's I had for a second. And, that metal bezel is perfect on it. IT WORKS. I soooooo love the bezel in fact. Like it takes it to the next level. It highlights the whole piece, draws your attention to it, and makes it...important. That's the only word I can find in my limited vocabulary. And the four clovers sooooooooo satisfies my OCD. Like one of the things I did not love about the Frivoles is that there are 3 petals. But I'm considering it now because I love how the pave is so beautiful on you. Buuuuuut, with your side by side pic with the Frivole, the Frivole just pales in comparison. So now maybe I don't really want the Frivole. (UGH...how did this become about me? Sorry!) Ugh, ugh, ugh.....it's so beautiful on you. Of all your VCA pieces, nothing works on you like this one does, in my opinion. And it's small enough that you can wear it casually. Ok, you just made an excellent call. You really did. Congratulations. This is just the best. I feel so done. I feel done for you.
Right!? And I’m gonna WEAR it. I don’t care if the wood darkens, this gorgeous is getting worn and loved!! I’ve always liked the idea of alternative materials in fine jewellery - beach stones in pave, wood link chains… And I just love the story behind this wood. From the atelier attic. So romanticLove this letterwood. So cool. So French... A limited edition piece made of...wood. Love it. Gives the finger to everyone's idea of fine jewelry. Love it!!!
Its cyclic!!!!Nahhh...now I'm copying you. You KWIM. . Feeling strongly influenced...
@Ally T, @RosieR Thank you darlings!!
Soooo dirty little secret, I think I’m most excited about the Perlee bangle It’s just so *easy* to wear and it makes my Clover feel complete I was stacking with a Tiffany Etoile, that turned me onto #BangleStacks but having the aesthetic and brand not match never really worked for me. I’m going to wear this pair so much. I know it.
I only wear them on my left wrist - because that’s the only way I can get them off!! And I’m right-handed so they’ll get a little less abuse that way
They sit really close together! Not quite flush but close enough that I know I could stack a third without any hangups
Here’s a curiosity. Actually two curiosities.
First - the metal colour is definitely different! Both are rose gold but the new single row is clearly more pink, I hope it fades with time to match the Clover’s more yellow-ey hue. The difference isn’t noticeable unless you really scrutinize, no worries about a visual disparity, but it was an unexpected discovery!
And second - the latch on the Clover is solid flat metal, and the latch on the one row diamond is pearled like the bangle edge. I’m wondering if newer Clover bracelets are made with the pearled latch too? (Well, I can probably answer that myself, “no”!) …It’s a tiny detail. I like that VCA thought about it for the new bangle design (the single row diamond came out in 201. Both pieces are very mind-clean for me
@OdetteOdile, @eh613c, @RunningwithScissors, @Phoenix, @DorotheaBrooke, @SandyK, @adlgel, @Cerulean Girls thank you so much!!!
Ugh. PS formatted my last post weirdly. Last bit was supposed to say single row diamond came out in 2018*.
@LLJsmom’s chalcedony ten is seriously one of my favourite VCA pieces. The colour works so well on her and I love how she styles it. So effortlessly. Overalls? Check. T-shirt? Check. Sneakers? Yup. She’s very petite though!! So that length sits lower on her neck/collar than on me. And I also just had mine shortened to 14 inches so it’s basically a choker on me now… I really can’t stand things around my neck - I never wear necklaces - but I managed a snag a photo before I had to get it off. I'm a big baby about things near my neck. But yeah, also means I’m no help at all with drape or styling I’m afraid!
I do have an opinion on one thing, which I didn’t know I had an opinion on until now: I apparently prefer the ten motif necklaces to have only one stone. Vs. Alternating motifs. I like alternating twenties just fine, but the tens… The space in front of the neck is so limited, my eyes want to see all the visible motifs in one single colour rather than having to mentally decode a pattern in a sequence. If that makes sense? It’s not a conscious thing - it’s obviously a very easy pattern, but that fraction of a second means the immediate impact when you first see it isn’t quite as bold. Just my opinion.
Yeah I’m not winning any instagrammability awards with this one I know
So my work uniform is a sweater, leggings or skinny jeans, and boots. And normally I unashamedly decorate myself with any and all jewellery whether or not the outfit is exactly appropriate But I’ve never had pave earrings before and I gotta say, the Cosmos are Very Very There. Can’t possibly miss them. I get why people feel pave is really dressy. I’ve got, like, half a reservation about wearing them casually... But then again, I know myself, the magpie always wins, I’m sure I’ll get over that half hangup pretty quick here
The pave *glows* when backlit
@Ally T Wellllll maybe the kittens will sparkle? For real though. The Love and Perlee are so different. I know people often wear them together but to my eyes they're just totally disparate aesthetics - Love is industrial and uncompromising, Perlee is sultry romance. So... The jewellery box has room for both right?
That’s a really good point. Picking pieces that suit oneself is a definitely skill! And saves money long term. Yssie you really know yourself! Or maybe it took time to get there?@yssie I'm in awe. You look gorgeous in your new pieces! I love how you can pick a piece that suits you. I'm working on that lol. Congratulations on these stunning pieces!!! My favorites are the cosmos pave and cosmos mop and pave! You're going to have so much fun wearing these! I'm loving your bracelet stack too. Loving everything!

I’m all Cosmos’d out now. I like the onyx but it won’t show up on me, my hair is too dark. Time for a new focus
@bling_dream19 D’you remember when I was *sure* I was a single-stone-studs and dangly-earrings person? Simple studs for daily wear, dangly earrings for fancy days. But it turns out I rarely wear any dangly earrings, even the simple ones, they all feel so formal! These fancier studs are a really happy middle ground for me. And the fact that all my “fancier studs” (okay, there’s only three pairs, not like this is a huge collection ) are from one brand is delightfully mind-clean. A “matched set”. You know how I like sets.

VCA ad worthy shot!!! Gorgeous!
I’m so happy. I’m seriously SO happy. Earrings are my favourite jewellery (no surprise to anyone here!!) and I feel like I’ve got something for every occasion now I’ve got one more VCA earrings want. Just one more. But I’m too scared to even talk about it out loud for fear of the gods hearing me and conspiring against it We shall see!!@yssie You know it girl! Now we have 3 categories of earrings...studs because every girl needs studs, dangles because it's fun to be fancy and flirty, and now sitting in the middle of studs and dangles...we have fill the ear, wear anytime, VCA stunning, timeless, fancy, and classy earrings!! To me they also have a throw back vibe to the clip on earrings the ladies wore and they made a statement! And of course we have pearls lol! And yes, I love that you have a matched set. I love sets too! You look beautiful and I can tell you are very happy wearing these beauties and that's the most important thing.
