I know the stone and size isn't hugely popular, in the US anyway, but I'm loving absolutely everything about them!! That resin-ey feeling... The size works so well with that pop art look, and this red is soooooooo totally my colour

I went back and forth endlessly but ultimately I felt like it’s now or never for these pave earrings - I do love them and they’re only going to get more expensive, I have longer dark hair that I don’t usually wear up often so the earrings are not that in your face, and I got used to the guilloche (I know, different but still “louder” than the regular offerings) despite them feeling “fancier” at first. If I want something more understated, my studs are much smaller and I could always get another everyday wg pair of earrings. And last but certainly not least, it’s to celebrate something very special so what better than a really stunning pair of earrings! Someone pinch me!!!

Congrats!!!! You won't regret it, I'm sure of it!! You're right, prices are only going up, and the pave frivole make really versatile intermediaries IMO!!
Not too fancy for a day at the office, casual enough to not look ridiculous at brunch... But would totally elevate any date night or girls' night out little ${any colour!!} dress

Well, you already know my opinion on your choice. The Frivole BTF is gorgeous... On pretty much everyone. But the Butterflies BTF is a whole other sort of magical on you. And white and black are your colours, those high-contrast combos complement your complexion so well, it HAD to be the white pave butterflies

Every time I see your collection - heck, every time I think about your collection - I think "complementary", "deliberate", "curated". We all know @m-2-b will never go chasing some random whim. (Um, I could use some of that self control.) The WG pave butterflies will work so beautifully with the rest of your collection... A literal and figurative flight of fancy

Sounds like your SO might be something colourful!? I hope it comes in quickly, and that it's everything you're hoping for!

Now that I've quit the pearls habit all of a sudden I've actually got money to spend on other things I'm trying very hard to be true to my own tastes with my VCA. My "collection" is a jumble of random pieces but they're all pieces that I know look good on me. Pieces that I wear as opposed to pieces that wear me. I definitely am always drawn to #Rare and #Popular, so far I've done pretty well muzzling the devil on the shoulder unless they also intersect with #Complementary but I gotta say the temptation sure is hard to resist sometimes!! Lapis rose de noel I'm looking at you!!

Y'know. I can totally identify with diamonds going with everything, but evolving into wanting a little bit of colour. 'Cause I'm going through exactly the same evolution. I started out with neutrals but somewhere along the line I progressed to actively wanting bright colours. I feel like most people start with colour and progress to diamonds, I guess a few of us did it backward!

Are these the small version? When I was at VCA trying on the frivole, I asked about RdN and they only had small carnelian but both the earrings and necklace had noticeable brown undertones. This shade is much prettier!

Gosh, your new avatar picture should be in a VCA ad!!! Love your rings! It's been difficult to buy VCA over the last couple of years since they have been out of so many things. However, m2b has shown us where to find some!

I was itching for some VCA last year and was contemplating the Noeud ring since it had WG, YG and RG so it potentially could go with everything. I found my size in another country but couldn’t commit without trying it on.
Instead, I put in a request for a pair of large Frivole pave earrings in YG. Nothing too outrageous but I am hoping that with the bigger size, the Frivole will sit half on/half off the ear unlike the small size.
I have the large Frivole in YG which I hardly wear as I find it stands out more without the pave. But I love the way it sits so I decided to have a blinged up version.
