Okay here were ours. The cover was a vellum type of paper, followed by an 8.5 x 11 ivory colored paper that was double sided with text. So the print is not actually on the vellum paper, but rather the inside paper.

So here is the cover, and you can see the print on the next page coming through:

Okay, so skipping the cover page with text (since you can see it in the first pic), here was one of the inside pages:

Inside of Wedding Program 1.jpg

And here was the other inside page:

Inside of Wedding Program 2.jpg

And finally, on the back of the inside 8.5 x. 11, we put the two readings:

How do you guys who made the programs yourself format them? Did you use a specific program, or just Word?

i hated to start a new thread for this question. hope you don''t mind me posting it here.

how many programs do you need? say if i have a guest list of 100?
do you do half so people share? or the full 100 so that each guest has one?

jcrow, are you going to do programs after all? I am planning to do 175 (for probably the same number of guests). I am printing them myself so I rather have too many than not enough. Usually when FI and I go to a wedding we both get a program so I think one for every guest is good.

yes i think we may. i decided against the letterpress thank you cards- saving us $400 by just sending them to print locally.

if i print the programs out myself, they won''t be too expensive. and i''m guessing about 100 programs isn''t too bad.

i am thinking of doing them about 4.5" x 6.5"
it will have one cover page and one interior page. whether or not all pages will be cardstock weight, i don''t know. and it''ll be bound by a satin ribbon.

Where are you guys getting these printed? Are you doing them yourselves or going to something like Staples? I don''t have a printer, but I may want to invest in buying one (mine is basically archaic and dead) for this kind of stuff..

so far, here''s what our programs will include-

i am printing it at home or at work.

I just happened to find this cool orchid stationary at Office Max. I was so excited because it totally matched my flowers! Then I found this template for a wedding program you can print at home, online. I filled in the info and presto! I had home-printed pretty programs. I was going to add a bow or something to it, but I ran out of time and I thought it might end up being a little overboard.
