I'm toying with the idea of setting my heart diamond into a wide band ring (about 12mm). I'd love to see others' wide bands.
I'd also love to know which finger you wear it on as I'm considering having it made as an index ring but unsure how practical that is.

Looks pretty . Will the ring be for daily wear or for special occasions ?

Here’s my wide band on my thumb. I don’t wear it like this lol but it’s the only photo I can quickly find. I generally wear it on my right ring finger when I wear it.

Here are mine, my LH middle finger varies from size 10 to 12 US depending on the setting, and the LH ring finger is about US 8.25 to 8.5 - my fingers are chubby/fleshy.

Here is my thickest band, I usually wear it on my right index or middle finger. It’s 1ct natural unheated ruby. Due to the width of the band, the size needed to be larger than what I normally wear, I believe this is size 8.

If you are going to wear it daily, you will want it a bit larger than your normal size and probably want filigree or other “open work” in the design so your finger can breathe. (Think of what your skin looks like if a bandaid is left on too long.)

This is the widest I have 6mm and its my original wedding band, I never wear it, but it also one of my most treasured rings, I will never part with it, hopefully one day my grand daughter may want it....

I was considering a wide band design for my three stone project, @Mekp but decided against it as it would limit my stacking options. I don’t have much real estate for stacking to begin with. So that was kinda the clincher for me. But who knows? I might change my mind yet again.

PS: I’ve been wanting a change from my usual slim, platinum ring repertoire and bought a cigar band instead to scratch that itch. Waiting for it to arrive but here’s a photo of 6.3mm band.438CB118-BFD0-4564-A9FB-12079488F429.jpeg

This is my widest band. It‘s pierced and has diamonds in the centers of the flowers..
