Show me your Yvonne Raley and Cecile Raley Designs!

IMG_20190712_145009584.jpg
Both these rings originally came from Cecile Raley Designs. @leslie1956 you must share hand shots of your beautiful paraiba cab as well!

Beautiful combination of colors, voce! Your new cushion spinel with tsav melee is a perfect choice to pair with the hexagon ring. My Paraiba ring is scheduled to arrive tomorrow so there will be hand shots very soon.

@leslie1956 are those demantoids on the side? I love the paraiba with that green. The run has Great details. I especially like the double mil grain around the cab. Would you please take pictures from all angles. Seem like there are lots of elements to see

How is the glow on the paraiba cab?

Thanks so much, Sunguru! The side stones are 2.3mm demantoids. Pierre hand engraved this ring, so he really went to town on the cool details :-) I'll try to get some better pictures of the details in the next day or so. The paraiba does have a lovely glow.

@Sungura, my phone camera does not do a good job of showing fine detail :( I did get a picture that shows the glow, though! I need to invest in a good camera, pronto. I increased the size of one of Yvonne's photos which will hopefully show off the pretty engraving a bit better.

Just can't resist sharing this awesome pendant. The style reminds me of @MissyBeaucoup's ruby and demantoid garnet ring, but the gems were all sourced by Yvonne. These are the best quality of her cobalt spinel, paraiba, and demantoid, all in the small but mighty category. Don't have them in hand yet, but I love the glamour shots CRD took.

@voce I absolutely love your pendant! What a beautiful color combination! You are super lucky to have snagged those rare gemstones!!

Excuse me while I wipe up the drool...

@voce
Now you have to get a whole grouping of slider pendants to wear together:Up_to_something2:

It’s lovely!

I love the colors! Lovely pendant. The metal detailing is awesome!!!

@voce - three of my favorite stones in one piece

I love Yvonne's Lily settings...all the variations of colors and stone sizes make every piece one-of-a-kind. Maybe someone can start a "Lily" sister thread.

The center stone is very shifty, sometimes a little more blue, sometimes a little more pink, but it never shows up as I see it in pictures. Yvonne did a fabulous job! She helped me decide on the three lavender sapphires on the bottom. We thought about pink sapphires instead of the diamonds, but in the end I’m so happy we went with diamonds!

Gorgeous sapphire ring. Lavender-purple sapphires are crazy difficult to photograph..at least in my experience. I love the design you chose and the diamonds give it a little more of a pop. Love it.

I absolutely love it and can’t describe how excited I am about it. It’s gorgeous and sparkles more than I thought possible. It’s all spinel... I’m sure you can guess at the origin. :Up_to_something2: Pardon the fuzz. Lol. I didn’t notice until I started posting. .

That center spinel is such a gorgeous color!

What a substantial size spinel! I love the center stone. Well, I can try to guess...

Ceylon? Tanzania? Vietnam? Am I missing something here that other aficionados pick up on? I can guess, but that doesn't mean I'll get it right. Please do share what you mean, sunshinelab. Did you have these spinels sourced as you had the emerald? More details, please! :P2

Luc Yen, Vietnam - not sure those colors have been found anywhere else.

That was my first instinct with the center stone, but wouldn't blue spinels from Luc Yen be very, very expensive? Unless it was bought years ago...

It is a Vietnamese spinel from LucYen, 8.4mm x 5.7 mm. I have small hands, to me it’s big... probably others might not think it is. Yvonne paired it with the side spinel, and I love how the colors work. This was my dream spinel for years.... I couldn’t find it and purchased way too much lavender in the process...but in January I stumbled on this on Yvonne’s site... I couldn’t believe it had been there all along. And so this journey began lol! We worked together on it and it’s honestly more beautiful than I imagined. I’m unbelievably happy with it. I’ve never created a 3 stone ring before so I’m just getting used to the size.

Absolutely!!! And the craziest part is... I was playing with it and my UV light (for the emerald too), and it doesn’t react! The geologist stumped herself! However the emeralds had a gorgeous red glow! Much more faint in the Muzo one, but the two Chivor emeralds were much stronger.

Well, I'm sure you'll get used to the size. Spinels at the two carat mark are very, very rare. I was on Yvonne's site a lot this January and scored a tiny Mahenge spinel and some stuff for her New Year sale. I don't remember seeing your spinel at all. But that's ok, since I have done more than enough damage to myself buying paraibas.

I've been told by Gran Gem that if your blue or lavender spinel fluoresces, that's a sign that it's synthetic. I'm not sure why either, probably something too do with band gap electrochemistry. Lavender sapphires fluoresce, but apparently it's different things that make a spinel lavender than what makes sapphires lavender.

Beautiful ring @Sunshinelab I especially like this portrait with your dog. This is a very unique designs to have the Marquise spinels set north south. I would love to see some additional pictures of the ring from different angles. It looks great on your hand.

I have seen these spinel from Vietnam. They have a color of their own. No gray and lots of blue. I have a little one. But I am lusting this large one

@voce these are expensive. But not as expensive per carat as the vivid cobalt blue ones from Vietnam.

Just received my new sunflower ring from Yvonne. Paraiba centre stone (1.66ct) with paraiba melees. I must say that the Paraibas photograph really well - the colour and glow of the stone is slightly more intense than what I see IRL.

:rolleyes2:L

That ring is amazing, be still my heart :-) You and Yvonne designed a masterpiece with those three spinels!

Thank you so much.... Yvonne worked so hard in this! She was amazing, her whole team helped with it... I had an idea, but they made it happen beautifully.

I wanted to add some more pictures of the profile... the idea originally was not to have any baskets, but we couldn’t get it to work the way we wanted... we modified it and I’m so glad we did.
