Show us your fluorescent ring under the sun.

Thanks for the additional photos, DF. The last photo looks violet to me. I think it's how we perceive colors. D color diamonds are supposed to be colorless but I see them as blue so I can usually pick out a D from other colors in this way

These photos were taken last spring when my upgrade was 'new'. The center (which was recut by WF) is a 1.61 E VS w/ slight flour, the 2 sides were sourced from WF, both E VS, don't believe they have any flour.
Sarah
Then it must be the reflection from the blue sky above, b/c all 3 stone looks blue and so does a few of the stones on your band.

btw;..beautiful rings!... ;))

My thoughts exactly re blue sky reflecting back.

Re the band next to ering, I thought I could see flour in it as well, it too, was sourced from WF. The stones in the band are 3 pointers. I'll have to wait until I can see it under UV light to be absolutely sure.

Thanks for your compliment. Your octavia though, is stunning, what fun to wear a ring like that! :wavey:

I love it, my favorite color is a cornflower blue so in some lighting it does look like that.

Wow, that is amazing - I love it!

I can't believe how blue that looks :sun: They need another descriptive term if both your stone and DF's are VSB - VVVSB perhaps! :D

It must be like having two different stones, an indoor white stone and an outdoor blue stone, which is cool!

We need some more pics ;) :))

Iknvrb4 that is amazing and very special stone! I am loving all the fluerescense hues :lickout:

Great thread. Thank you DF for referring me here.

Here are 2 shots in sunlight. My RB is a F ACA non fluorescent and my EC is 1.21 E MB fluorescent.

These pictures make it look milky but it isn't. It is clear.

Yeah, just like this pic of my wife's non fluorescent ring vs my VSB ring, plus an indoor shot w/o UV.

Are there any pinks out there??? I have a few pinks in a melee pendant and I would love to see a sizeable stone with pink fluorescence!

My 1.59 K antique pear with Medium Blue Florescence. And yes, I know I need lotion.:lol::lol:IMG_0594.jpg

Love this thread. Can't wait to see more pics.

I love learning something new about my jewelry. :)
In this thread I learned, or at least realized something about my yellow diamond ring. It has slight yellow fluorescence. Back when I received it, I thought: yellow stone, yellow fluor, so what?
Now maybe I'm understanding why in the picture in my avatar, the stone looks so yellow. (It's a lovely shade in person, but that picture really shows it off.) It's sitting right in the sun. I don't know why I didn't think of that before, except that I just didn't know that the sun could bring out the fluor. All this time at PS and I didn't pick that up until today. Thanks!
