My Lord!

The pics on this thread are to DIE for!

Now I'm more confused than ever! I think I love them all!
By the way, that Leon designer ring made me choke - it is so stunning.

AME, we are in the same boat. Let me know what you decide!

I wish I was cool enough to post the pic, but I think I'll go with the Tiffany style RB wedding band -- that Jennifer has!

I can't wait to go try on a zillion settings... I'll let you know how it goes and hopefully a picture will come soon!!!!!

I really want to reiterate my thanks for everyone's gracious compliments...the initial excitement of getting my new ering is over but this thread has just made me beam and get that rush all over again!

Julian--you are very sweet--and you have so many great choices. AGBF's wrap is so cool! Best of both worlds. I will say that my ring is "wide" and stretches across my 7.5 finger--I think my jeweler, who knows me very well, steered my husband in that direction becasue he knows I am self-conscious about having a "big" finger and would want the ring to look substantial, hence, the side stones. Also, do NOT say you have monkey hands, please!

I can't wait to see what you end up with--you MUST come back and show us!

PS Yellowfan, my ring with an overload of pics is posted in SMTR under a thread "...matchy poochy"...I am dense and still haven't figured out how to make links, even though several people here have tried to help me.

Here is the link to Jennifer's beautiful ring.

I don't know if Laura is still following this post, but I hope I can help everybody out in this "honesty versus tactfulness" battle.

I've found that honesty can be a double-edged sword, as Laura discovered in this thread. However, I think that "brutal" honesty can be tempered with the clever and friendly use of emoticons and explicit declarations of personal opinion without detracting from the usefulness of the message. Please compare the following alteration with Laura's original post...

I know people say diamonds can never be too big, but girl, if you don't want to look gaudy, then NO WAY! No side stones. Your finger is too small, and there is no need to add ANY more to that diamond. Even if your finger was a 10, side stones would be gaudy. Take a lesson from the other poster's ring,, More is absolutely less in this situation! Simplicity is the best choice.

My version:

I think that slightly modifying this message in the way I've demonstrated above could be a more constructive message that gets the point across without unintentionally (or intentionally) offending anybody who has a different opinion.
Sorry to beat this dead horse to dust, but I hope it helps.

I don't think the "new" version made any difference.

Aww, shucks... Well, you can't say I didn't try to make it better.

I do hope I conveyed my point about being nice with your "honesty" though...
