Well funny you sag colorful as I bought myself a grey spinel and if it looks like the pictures that'll be my next project. Fingers crossed as I really love the pics.

I just looked back through the thread trying to find the setting vendor but couldn't find it (admittedly I did not look terribly closely). Would you mind reminding us where you found the setting? TIA.

Its a bit thin. But they customized it to my request and didn't charge extra to have quality melee.

The setting without modification is under 300. I don't think you could beat that.

On the hand it looks great.

So he proposed yesterday. Didn't want to do it on chrismas says it's too expected lol.

I think she or sad it wasn't Wednesday so he proposed ASAP. Lol

I'm not much for romance but I guess he did it in front of their 4 young kids. Sounds cute.

She said yes. She seems over the moon about the ring

No she hadn't seen it.

She had liked that setting, but had only seen it for a round, so I doubt she expected it. The setting as I showed her wouldn't have been available in any other shape. And she didn't want a round if possible. She had seen this stone along with other ones, so she didn't know this was the one we picked.

She seems to be genuinely thrilled by it. She's already gotten strangers complimenting it. I got it the size she told me but I don't think she actually got sized, it's a tad big.


She says at her work the thing people say after complimenting it is "is that your birthstone?"

Is that normal for colored stone e rings? Do you guys get that a lot?

Oh that's wonderful I'm so very pleased for you both - or rather all three Maybe a couple of sizing beads as an option rather than a complete resize?

And no, while I do wear a garnet ring on my left hand that's not a question that's come up so I'm sorry, I can't help there.

Yes, it's totally normal to get endless stupid questions about colourd stone erings. If it's anything other than a white diamond solitaire (and honestly even then sometimes!), people are confused about it.
Even mine, which is a diamond (but an fcd), leads to endless confused questions (Is that a sapphire? Aquamarine? What?).

Glad she loves it.
