First of all, pardon me for not posting this thread in a relevant thread as i am not sure where should i be posting it.

As a faithful reader of pricescope, this site has certainly helped me source out the right proposal ring for my wife well within my budget and i am very thankful for the creators of this site as well as the moderators.

Dishearteningly, i found a cloned forum that features the same exact posts as pricescope and exact same titles, contents and everything. These acts of intellect infringement most definitely are intolerable as i believe postings of pictures and knowledge on this site is through the consensus of both the poster and well within the policies and jurisdiction of pricescope. Ripping off all the exact same posts in search for extra revenue for personal gains without sheer hardwork of setting up a complete site with own contents is not the right way.

Below are some evidence:

Cloned forum from singapore, requires an account to view post

PS: Mods, do point me to the right direction or move this post to the right location. Thanks
I might be wrong, but could this be a sub project of pricescope or in my opinion, singapore retailer. :angryfire:
There have been many advertisements regarding this forum link in various Singapore websites and forums.

Thank you for the information.

We will definitely look into it.

Just to update everyone.

I did register as myself, and was able to verify that they did copy a lot of our forum content. I was able to gather some evidence and then my ip was banned.

I sent an email requesting that the content be removed, but have not received any reply or confirmation.

If anyone is still able to get in to verify that they are still using the our content, I would appreciate some screen shots of the threads from there site.

Thank you

It's kind of weird that the admins have to approve your registration...

I had previously successfully registered but my ID has now been deleted, apparently. Probably because I (without thinking) followed the link from here instead of finding the forum via elsewhere. Dammit! :((

I got banned too.
Did the forum master reply to you yet?

Andrey, I've found this via a search, so won't be linked back to this site. If you can tell me how to take screenshots, I'd be happy to do so. I'm using google chrome, if that makes any difference.

Hmm. It might *not* be infringement. Legally. In Singapore anyway. Countries (especially in the far east) have some really liberal laws regarding foreign copyright protection. I'm not an expert but do know that this is true especially with hardware and software.

Singapore should be very strict on this as we are trying to develop our research industries and moving away from a manufacturing economy. Letting others rip off stuff easily does not results in research company having much incentive in investing in our country. Not sure on the specific laws though especially regarding internet.

I was wondering why this thread came back from the dead, and then read Mr. Singapore Wedding Video's post. There's something ironic about that cloned forum's attempts at discretion, only to follow up with a spam bot post.

In all seriousness, though, I would strongly suggest that no one click directly on either of the foreign links in this thread, as it would likely snag cookies and bring more spam to PS.
