So I went to Tiffany & tried famous shared prong. Which size

Re: So I went to Tiffany & tried famous shared prong. Which

Pic # 2
It's the perfect size - it doesn't overpower the other rings and you can see the shape of the diamonds whereas in pic 1 it is not as accentuated.

I think that the 1st one is nice but the scale blends into the other 2 rings and the larger one is overpowering.
The middle one is just right.....

I like the 8 pointers too.

Re: So I went to Tiffany & tried famous shared prong. Which

Number 1 is the most balanced to me.

I love your beaded band! Do you mind sharing where you purchased it?

Hi dreamingoftacori :wavey: I just saw this. I love that band and wear it 24/7 its from Van Cleef small size Perlee. You can find others like it that are less expensive for sure but each of the beads are perfect on this band and as silly as it is I am very picky about the small details! ha!

Thank you! I thought it was the VCA one but wanted to double check. I'll have to see if they have it locally.

Good luck with your decision. T&Co shared prong bands are incredible!

Hathalove - Did you ever decide upon which size stones to get? I have a similar size finger and I am going through the same dilemma.

No.. This got put on hold because I just purchased a new solitaire, ships Monday yay for me!!! BUT I did decide that to add with the stacks that I had I preferred in the end the smaller point size. That tiffany band is 3pts but I also tried on a Memoire band with 4pts and 4.5pts and I loved them all. There is something about that Tiffany so that was my favorite. The band portion was perfection, rounded, perfect thickness and substantial for such a delicate band. The Memoire band is a bit of a flat blunt edge on the band portion. That took away from the "richness" that Tiffany had if you know what I mean. If full eternity obviously that doesn't matter.

With the new ring that is coming to me I would probably do the 3pt Tiffany if I had the funds. Or if on a budget, I would do the Memoire .33 3pt 11 stone band or the Memoire .50 13 stone band. I might have some pics of the Memoire if you want to see?

Thanks Hatha, seeing the memoire bands would be great. I also tried on the Tiffany (only the 0.56 size) and loved it. So I've been trying to find something similar. Both Memoire and Tiffany are out of budget.

I think I've narrowed it down to this one from Whiteflash (http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-bands/seven-stone-shared-prong-diamond-wedding-band-443.htm) or this one from IDJ (http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?products_id=21511) with upgraded stones. I'm seriously having issues deciding. The IDJ one has more recessed stones but is also a little less expensive.

I will keep a lookout for your new solitaire reveal. Yay for you!

Did you call Pearlmans? What's your budget?

Just a note, if you are going with 3-5 pointers, you have to have more than 7 stones, but perhaps you have already covered that with the jewelers. I am just afraid that those are not as low as the Tiffany and Memoire, so be very sure about that before you order.

Re: So I went to Tiffany & tried famous shared prong. Which

I'm in the same predicament right now and currently in talks with WF and IDJ. I referenced the thread https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-7-stone-shared-prong-band-from-idj.199090/ - but with 7 pointers instead of 10. Waiting to hear the cost on a plat band. Luann sent me a quote for white gold. She said it would be 2.7mm wide and 2.3mm in height. I should have asked if the band tapers at the bottom (or if they can do that) but I forgot. My WF rep is recommending .35ct shared prong but I really like the look of bigger stones. Their .50 7 stone is 3.2mm high (per wf rep) and 2.1mm at top and tapers to 1.6mm at the bottom per website.

I personally hated the memoire bands. I tried them on last weekend as a slightly cheaper alternative to Tiffany. The shank was flat and wide at the bottom. It had to be 2 1/2x the width of my e ring shank and it was uncomfortable!

Hoping to find a solution myself soon! I'm thinking I might go with IDJ but I'm worried about the width of theirs! Need something perfect lol
