KTF, you are amazing. It sounds like you''re doing everything you need to do to take care of yourself, which is all you can do at this point. Either way, because you''re doing what you need to for yourself it''ll turn out for the best.

I honestly admire your strength, and hope that if I''m ever in a situation like that I''m able to make the same decision you came to. An open honest talk about what you need is a great decision, and I''m sure it''ll be okay in the end.

Kudos to you KTF. I know that walking away is hard to do! Although I was not in the exact same situation, my now BF and I had to walk away from each other, but ended up together again after two years of separation. I''m a firm believer that sometimes the timing just isn''t right and it takes a lot of courage to realize that and walk away!

I just wanted to add something a wise friend of mine shared with me recently.

Her friend was 35 years old and had been dating a man for five years. He kept getting the run-around when she brought up marriage. He wasn''t ready, didnt'' see himself being ready for years, etc. Eventually she broke up, moved out, and moved on with her life. Six months later he came back for her and with a ring.

Maybe that is what will happen with your boyfriend and if it doesn''t, its better for you to move on now than later.
