Hi Everyone! I'm a longtime daily lurker on PS and finally have something important to contribute!

Listed on DB: http://diamondbistro.com/category/2...A-Excellent-RB-155-ct-H-SI1-Diamond-Ring.html

This is a breathtaking ring originally purchased from Mark Turnowski at Engagement Rings Direct. The center diamond is a 1.55 ct RB, H color, SI1 clarity (eyeclean), with no fluorescence set in 14kt white gold. The diamond measures 7.42 x 7.47 x 4.61 and cut, polish, and symmetry are all rated excellent (GIA report #15715509). Ring is a size 6.5. This diamond gets noticed and was complimented nearly every day I wore it! Asking $7,000 - Let's talk...

There are 20 pave stones on the band all with G/H color and VS clarity.

I live in the NYC area and I'm looking forward to finding this stunner a new happy home where sparkle and beauty are appreciated!

that's an excellent price. I feel you can probably get more money just directly sell it to the store. Although I feel people probably wouldn't be comfortable with the payment method. I'm sure they are willing to pay for the fee and just so can be protected by paypal

Re: GIA Excellent RB 1.55 ct H SI1 Diamond Ring

Thanks for the advice minmin001! I'm trying to edit the payment method in the listing but having trouble figuring that out. It's my first time so I wasn't exactly sure of the best way to handle payment. I work very close to the diamond district so I plan to show it off over there too and see how it goes. Again, your suggestions are very much appreciated :D

Re: GIA Excellent RB 1.55 ct H SI1 Diamond Ring

Had I not just ordered my five stone.. I might have done this instead in a RHR setting... of some kind... Beautiful and priced to sell!!!

Very interested, sent you a message on DB.

Re: GIA Excellent RB 1.55 ct H SI1 Diamond Ring

How do the numbers look on this stone, anywhere near ideal cut? I have compared them to an Ideal cut and it looks good to me. Is it a great performing stone?

Because I am crazy and drawn to temptation, I looked this one up on the GIA report check. I am not in the market, but here is what I found.

Depth: 61.9%
Table: 56%
Crown Angle: 35.0°
Pavilion Angle: 41.2°
Lower Half: 80%

The HCA score is not good, 3.2, because the CA and PA are on the steeper side of things. Depending on rounding, and given the longer lgf, it could be ok. This is one where I personally would want to see an ideal scope image or inspect in person prior to finalizing a sale :)) But it is still a GIA Ex, but not a "super dooper louper" as cut nuts might say ::)

I appreciate you chimming in DreamerD. I looks like a great buy if it's a great stone but sale is final :((

Dreamer I ran the numbers as soon as I saw the listing! I am nuts as well.

Re: GIA Excellent RB 1.55 ct H SI1 Diamond Ring

great deal!

Re: GIA Excellent RB 1.55 ct H SI1 Diamond Ring

Just asking...at this size and price would it be a recut opportunity? If it wasn't ideal? :read:

great deal if the cutter can keep it above 1.5ct after a recut.

This not the type of diamond you recut in my opinion. That is too risky and as a GIA Ex cut, there are times I think we all should shake ourselves back into reality ;))

But we hang out on PS! We are living in our own little Blingy world.... :o

Mayk, it could be a gorgeous diamond; if someone is considering it they should have an appraiser look at it first.

The discussion above is exactly part of why I love PS! So many knowledgeable people here! I love the pics too

Thanks for all of the input everyone!

UPDATE: I sold the ring to a DD dealer for more than the original asking price. It was a beautiful performer and I felt it was the right formula of compromising on specs for our budget at the time we purchased it.

Mike - Would have loved for a PSer to have this ring. Best of luck in your search!

I kind of guessed you would and don't blame you.
