Hello!

I bought this sapphire thinking it was my 'forever' sapphire but I found a vintage sapphire ring locally that it perfect, as is... so I'm selling this beauty to finance that purchase (cause I can't afford both, drat it!).

Up for sale is a GIA certified Unheated and Untreated Natural Blue Sapphire that weighs 3.02 carats and measures approximately 8.7 x 7.1 (please the the GIA certificate on Diamond Bistro for exact measurements). http://www.diamondbistro.com/category/229/Sapphire/listings/27407/GIA-Unheated-Blue-Jeff-White-Sapphire-302-carat.html

It's a beautiful blue sapphire, with a very rich deep color. It was cut by Jeff White. PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES they tell the story of color and cutting and shape better than words do. I have also uploaded the GIA lab report so you may see it.

My local jeweler, Joe Escobar in Campbell, CA (very high end jeweler with many years of colored stone experience, google them and you will see) has valued this stone at $3000/ct = $9,000 retail. Since I am not a retail jeweler and I am not accepting returns, I am offering it to you for $4,500. I will consider serious offers for this only.

Please message me with any questions you have.

Paypal only. International customers please email me for shipping rates. I will mail Fed Ex ONLY for international shipments and international shipping is not free.

Included in the price is the sapphire, the GIA lap report, and free USPS Certified Insured shipping within the USA to a paypal verified address only. It will be shipped with Delivery Confirmation. Certified mail does take longer than average shipping services, but is the safest method to ship, period. Please plan about a week and a half from the day you pay until you receive the package.

Thank you!

I can't wait to see your new ring, Gypsy! This is so exciting and we know it must be super special to give up this sapphire after you have done so much research!

Wow, gorgeous! You are seriously causing me temptation!!! I think the problem for me would be that I would be very hesitant to spend that much money on something I couldn't see first, especially a colored stone. What is the clarity like, Gypsy?

(I am pretty sure you mean registered mail, right?)

Gypsy, in the other thread on page 1 there was an oval sapphire ring that you said was too gray for you. Is that the one you are getting? Because if not, I'd be interested in knowing where it is. I think an existing ring would be my best bet.

No, I'm not buying that one. I bought it once and returned it. I don't think it's still available though, the seller reset the stone into a setting she preferred and is keeping it.

Joe Escobar does have lovely sapphires in existing settings but the prices are pure retail-- there are pics on their site. If you call and ask for Erik or Maya also and tell them what you want, they can tell you what they have.

Clarity is eyeclean. Under a microscope Joe E said that the stone has "very cool inclusions that are particular to unheated sapphires" ... and there's no zoning that I can see.

Yes, I meant registered mail.

DS message me on DB and I can tell you more.
