I've been told when I was making my 5 stone so what, 5 months ago? That WF WILL set outside stones provided they have a AGS or GIA lab report.

Good to know. These stones have the LK inscriptions but not AGS/GIA reports, and I don't feel like waiting or spending the money to get them to be honest. Also, already told my jeweler about the project, and sort of like the idea of doing it locally. Saves a lot of shipping anxiety!

Still, I'll remember that!

As far as putting colored stones into the settings, I don't have anything laying around that would fit even though the settings are pretty standard in calibration since they'd fit 5mm and 4mm stones, but I'll probably just list them since I already have so many rings! But we'll see, I might just find the perfect 5mm demantoid to pop in there!

This ring is going to be so fabulous MTG! The diamonds are gorgeous and I love the setting, it's a very exciting project and I can't wait to see the finished piece!

Hehe. Well. They sort of match. I can definitely see the color difference between my F and my I. But it doesn't bother me.
I think it just makes my center stone pop a bit more.

This is going to be awesome! Which stone will you be using as the center, your engagement ring stone or your Lazare Kaplan pendant stone? It would be cool to have a ring with 5 LK stones and put the original e-ring one into a new pendant, but I can also see why you might want to keep your original stone in the ring.

It'd be cool to do all LK, but I"m using my original diamond for sentimental value, and also so that I don't have to spend another 200$ to set it into a bezel, lol.

Also, given my concerns about fitting 2+ct worth of diamonds on sz 5 finger, my jeweler (who ROCKS) said she could pour me a rough cast in silver for 40$ to test out fit prior to doing the final in gold in I want. I might take her up on it after the CADs if I"m worried that the mm measurements she gives me are a close call.

Ended up selling the 3 stone setting to a fellow PSer who I'm sure will make something gorgeous from it.

And I"m actually ordering Peter's round red spinel that he cut for you to see if it will be a fit for the other setting!

Now just to find something amazing enough to live in the Van Craeynest...

Haha, well I think we were all suggesting the other one just based on the info on her preferences for an ering. Personally I preferred this one for myself since I like red!

I'll post pics once I get it, I think Peter is putting it in the mail today.

Haha I actually didn't, I basically got home at night and saw it in the mail, and then took it to my jeweler the next day. I promise to post pics when I get it back all set!

It was much more a deep mahenge pink than it was a pure red like my burmese spinel. Still beautiful, but I think you picked the right thing with the chyrso since I'd call this spinel more a rich pink than a true red.
