Haha I actually didn't, I basically got home at night and saw it in the mail, and then took it to my jeweler the next day. I promise to post pics when I get it back all set!
It was much more a deep mahenge pink than it was a pure red like my burmese spinel. Still beautiful, but I think you picked the right thing with the chyrso since I'd call this spinel more a rich pink than a true red.
