Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

I think it would be pretty in person, IMO. The light would hit it and it would be fabulous.

I think this would be beautiful in person... No window, some color zoning, but good strong color. Any more saturated and it might black out. I'm getting midcentury Oscar Heyman vibes. Price isn't fantastic but it's fair, IMO.

Yeah I love it and would totally wear it. It would be so weighty!

It is a very elegant ring.
Listing says it has an AIGS lab report. I wish they would post it!

@Dreamer_D Good catch!! The more I look at it the more I like it. But I don't need another sapphire ring. This would be such a pretty anniversary present for someone, or an e-ring.

I will say, if anyone wants to pull the trigger be prepared for taxes / customs. Anything over $1k I think triggers it. I had to pay close to $80 in taxes for my $1500 Komehyo ring. Which was weird as a US based buyer, but it happened to me twice with these Japanese ebay sellers. Technically there's some way to fight it but whatever, I just paid it.

^ Weird that the sapphire is described as 7x5mm but no depth or carat-weight.

Agreed, especially since the sapphire was apparently rehabbed a bit?

I like that gilded lane sapphire a bit more than the previous, but I like the other setting better!

Her setting has more diamonds, for sure. If I had to guess, maybe hers is around 1.5ct? Perhaps she had one edge of the stone polished in the setting vs removing it? I don't even know if that makes sense. Could've just been some surface abrasions from wear.... Her photos would also be more true to life vs the lightbox from the Japanese seller. Price is also fair.

@Dreamer_D I agree. Look at my conversion20240506_135412.jpg, however it's tiny

Gorgeous! I have long coveted a similar piece my mom has. I really want her to give it to me, but she says no lol. She wears it every day. I just examined it and it also appears to be a pin conversion! With a tiny ruby. I think the outer circle was added later, and the inner creature is original. It’s about the size of a loonie (Canadian $1 coin) which is ideal for me.IMG_2491.jpeg

Looks like a 1ct center and four .25ct sides. That’s a pretty good price and the diamonds look nice!
