Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

Anyone looking for a pink champagne diamond ring? This looks like a pretty color and not a bad size diamond. Would be a good reset candidate:

I'm not wild about the 1980's setting, but it is nice! A great price, too!

However, can I complain a bit about the horrible photos?
I'm just so fed up with the terrible photos of diamonds on Ebay.
How is a prospective buyer supposed to know if a stone is decent when the photos look like sh!t? Gaaaaah!

I took a chance on that last ring I bought, too. There were several photos, but none were straight-on. I got lucky because the diamond was real nice, but it was a surprise.

I feel the same way. I know diamonds are tricky to photograph, but with most people having smartphones now too...no fricken excuse!!! It drives me crazy!

No, first time I've reached out to him. He was responsive at least. But his responses were definitely very brief. He ended up not having anything in his inventory that I liked. However, I would be fine with reaching out to him again in the future.

@AnastasiaBeaverhausen Did you see Dolly's post? 8.7 mm!

@stracci2000 and @Cerulean, I agree wholeheartedly about the pictures, I think some sellers figure if they offer a return policy, someone will take a chance on it. Yes that setting is blech! I would pull that diamond right out and put it in another setting.

Like this picture, is the diamond hazy or is it the photography? Is it dirty? Probably just a bad photograph but someone who hates to return things would hesitate for sure.

Have you heard of acrostic jewelry? I have been fascinated since I read about one in an Agatha Christie novel. You can buy modern ones, but the antique ones are just so full of romance. Who owned them? Who gave the ring, was it an engagement ring?

Check this out!

So fascinating!! I love this. What a treasure!

This has become one of my favorite threads! I feel like I spend 20hrs a day looking at jewelry online and then come here and see all kinds of goodies I missed :)

If anyone's looking for an affordable little project, this guy needs new shoulder embellishments, but looks to be in great shape otherwise!

Oh wow, looks like someone really mangled the setting on that poor baby!

At first glance, I thought this was looks blue flash moonstone and then realized it was sapphire. It’s unique and gorgeous!

Etsy has some pretty awesome finds today:

This is my favorite: https://www.etsy.com/listing/794670...t-ring-antique?ref=shop_home_active_130&frs=1

Looks waaaaaay bigger than its ct weight because of how the stones sit and the bezels. Someone NEEDS to buy this!

And this lovely fancy yellow band: https://www.etsy.com/listing/947159...mond-band?ref=shop_home_active_39&frs=1&cns=1

Finally, this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/934857256/antique-engagement-ring-art-deco?ref=user_profile&frs=1

I'm tempted to buy it myself but I'd prefer a diamond center rather than sapphire

Oops! Forgot the last one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/749258...ses-diamond-band?ref=shop_home_active_2&frs=1

I would definitely want to repurpose the stones in this one, but man the maquise stones are lovely

OMG that sapphire set! I can totally see that for the VC set I currently have. I'd just need to save up the funds to have the head replaced...or "settle" for a 4mm sapphire...

Right?! It's so pretty and reminds me of their aesthetic

Interestingly she's selling a ring that was just sold at auction on eBay for $100-ish, for $300+. It's definitely the same ring.
