Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

Ok who bought her?

This seems like a great buy especially with the setting included and the lovely cut. Seller often accepts 20% below asking.

I just saw it this morning and thought it was really pretty and a good price. I hope someone here jumped and comes back to tell us.

@lovedogs, is it just me or do you think they are off on the clarity on that brown diamond? I can’t see what would make it an I2-3

I think they're way off on clarity. Unless there's a chip or something that is hidden by the setting. I think it looks more like an SI1-2 ish

Sorry to butt into the conversation, do you think this is a scratch on the diamond? 1732128617671.png

I think this is a chip. But note that this isn't the stone that @YadaYadaYada and I were talking about
Yes... just got curious when I saw the picture. Should have prefaced it better. Thanks!

I agree. That's what I thought when I first saw it listed, as I was wondering if it could be turned in the setting to hide it a bit.

Good eye I didn’t see that is my (admittedly brief) look. It isn’t a concern re beauty and I bet it could be set to hide, but it does affect value.

I don’t think the listing disclosed it either.

Crown of Light 3-stone on auction.

Thanks, Mreader! First time purchasing from this vendor and I recommend.

I have no business looking at diamonds, but this is so pretty, has that checkered look that I love. It's listed as round, but it doesn't look totally round to me and the engraving has the year 1936. Good clarity too.

14K 2.76ctw Diamond Halo Drop Earrings

Lotta bling for the price - $636. "Leverbacks are mismatched; earwires are moderately bent; slight scratches and wear at metal." I would replace with new leverbacks.

Same one listed at eragem for $4700 (LOL)

Regardless of the ctw, those stones are small and included. Can't imagine why anyone would have paid the Eragem price.

@lala646 they could just be filthy. :eek2:

Reporting back… .81 bezel Lucida arrived and is lovely. After 20yrs I’m at lucida peace. It had full paperwork and is from 2004 so I guess it’s now legit vintage! Wondering how many of these bezels were made? IMG_1935.jpeg

@Sachsensox GORGEOUS!!!! The bezel makes that stone look HUGE!

Thank you! The bezel does nice things for it. I bought a Lucida necklace last year from TRR and returned it. I was unimpressed. It was .50 and not a great cut. You guys are right on that the early ones were better. There really is a ton of variety in the cuts on these stones. It feels a little like owning a piece of history. And also, only you ladies would understand!

Mate buyer saw us talking about the chip and cancelled!

So I asked them the other day for a video and then saw it sold. They send me some lovely pics (happy to post here if people would like to see them but they couldn't upload a video). I thanked them and mentioned I saw it was sold after they sent pics (which was odd). They said it was relisted and that the pics on the listing are old as they recut the stone.

Interesting! Wonder if the carat weight changed.

Does that mean there is no chip now?

Interesting - I'd love to see the pics if it's not a problem! So the chip isn't there anymore?
