I don't know if I've seen a brooch-to-ring conversion like this before.

I have something similar. I wonder how the jeweler was able to curve it without loosing any melee or damaging the setting.

At first I thought 'oh pink' but now I am also seeing brown.

I’m so curious what it looks like IRL.

Does this look kind of pink to you all or is it just me?

Pink brown - ahhhhhhh
Either you love or hate these… I’ve been told they look like poo, lol! I think they are incredibly beautiful… and I desperately want a pink diamond but cannot afford one, so pink brown it is!
A 2-3ct pink brown antique pear is my holy grail stone for a pendant. Set in platinum and 14/18k rose gold … possibly with a cup to really bring out the pink. Someday… when I have money again, lol!

Thank you!! This looks really pretty - to be fair, I am not 100% sure of proportion preferences, I like transitional cuts a lot, I do tend to like spreadier not too deep stones, but I cannot rule anything out at this stage. I thin kthe mm size is on the smaller side but I know this will be all hard to get.

The color/clarity looks great on this - hmm can email me: mediumarchaeopteryx (gmail).

I also started a proper thread on RockyTalky: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/search-for-biggest-oec-for-10k.289269/

I’m so sorry, I missed seeing this… emailing you now!

Just took a risk on this one but would love your opinions - description says it’s a mix of circular brilliants and round brilliants, but the ring looks old to me. It also looks like it has a higher carat weight than what’s listed, but I know pics can be deceiving. Thoughts?? Will post when it gets here!

I saw that and I’m glad you got it so you can show us! All of the stones that are shown in the pics look round brilliant to me - but the pics are washed out so tough to tell.

I had this open to share yesterday on this thread! I think it has high potential to be great.

My opinion is that this is going to be spectacular. Looks vintage, but later than Edwardian. Maybe 1950s? I think 2.55 tcw seems accurate but just a opinion.

I don’t know why they call it 950 though, because that’s the content used for ruthenium platinum alloy, and ruthenium wasn’t commonly used with pt until ten years ago. I always thought iridium WAS used for fancy pieces in vintage items.

Can anyone confirm this? RealReal frequently calls vintage pieces PT 950, but it looks like an iridium alloy. This one does too (looks iridium) to me.

I like this, and think the opal is solid (not a doublet) based on the back view

This is a good price for an almost half carat old mine in plat

Love that diamond, it Looks super white but I’m not sure it’s a half carat?

Opal is sold. Can someone tell me about opals like this, are they durable enough to wear casually? Are they really this price? What kind of Opal does this look like?

I love this! @Dreamer_D isn’t this close to your size?

It’s close but no cigar! And it needs to be 18k. I want this band to match my three stone. I think I will end up buying new so the colors and contours match.

Pug lover? Platinum and 14k yellow gold, domed quartz.

Yes, it looks pink to me. I love this. Looks like an authentic old cut (but who knows nowadays).

I’ve got this terrible feeling that our thread here makes these great pieces easy pickings. But if I were looking, I’d buy this instantly and possibly put a pink cup under it like XOtheBijoux does. My goodness, look at that culet, koizibe, shape… great find!
