Somebody's gotta buy this stone, "If I won the lottery" edition

I would love to compare this with the Graff ruby, which has similar stats (top color grading/weight etc) on reports. It even has one of those old AGL reports that break down the color in detail, which I do not know how to interpret properly.

But the estimate seems low?
The Graff ruby and smaller (5-6ct) ones have sold for close to 1m/ct.

8.01ct Burma ‘Pigeon Blood Red’ Ruby and Diamond Ring

Estimate HKD 15,000,000 - 25,000,000 | USD 2,000,000 – 3,000,000

If the low estimate is not a psychological/marketing tactic, maybe its lacking that touch of silk, since it seems very clean to my inexperienced eye. Or maybe some other quality. Obviously impossible to tell without more footage/seeing in person.

Glimpses from promotional videos.

Not super expensive but an example of something I would but if I had unlimited funds.

Don't think I've seen a pure vivid purple FCD available for sale before (only in articles or old auction catalogues). There are also none under Leibish's sold section. Its just 0.07ct, but I'd be willing to bet the price per ct is astronomical.

Was looking for this thread and couldn't find it -- even with the search terms. (Oh, maybe I was using "someone" and not "somebody" -- AI, help me out here!)

No lottery required but I thought this was super-cool, design-wise, and French and would make a great gift. (I like in better in this "elevation," as the architects would say, as opposed to the view looking down the finger). It's at Lang:

What do you mean by this? I am intrigued.

But you omitted the best view!

I liked the face-on view better than the swoopy mustache one above, but it is a lovely design from any angle! Intentional but not self-consciously so, if that makes sense.

I just came across this lovely ametrine after reading that the cutter, Glenn Lehrer, passed away. I did not know of his work prior to reading of his passing. May he rest in peace.

I enjoyed browsing the unique cuts on his site and this ametrine stuck out to me - not lotto levels of expensive but more than I am willing to pay for any ametrine. The cut is so unique (a donut!)
