Something From Tiffany's Movie-I wonder of other PSers have a problem with the ending

Ok, at first I have to disclose that I am a lover of Hallmark style holiday movies. So when I saw the ad for 'Something from Tiffany's'--I mean romcom + diamonds-I was in.

The movie was just meh. And, I say that as a fan of Zoey Deutch (who is Lea Thompson's daughter btw). The script wasn't that great. There wasn't much chemistry between Rachel and Ethan. AND, the ending!!! I mean really, who would want an engagement ring that had been bought for another woman and, also, was worn by the other woman? Fatal plot flaw, imo.

I was curious so I did look up the Tiffany’s return policy…


C'mon Ethan could easily have returned the ring and picked out one specifically for Rachel!

I am also a Hallmark fan, but this show was rather lame. In fact there was a dearth of Tiffany in the show--could have been about Wallmart. And Rachel kept putting her fingers all over the diamond! Ugh! LOL. Gary was a write off but my DH said he was misunderstood. GAK! He was kidding of course...

Totally agree with you. The Tiffany's mention drew me in, but there was very little Tiffany in the movie!

Reese Witherspoon produced the movie. I guess I was hoping for more of a 'Sweet Home Alabama' type of proposal . Now that screen would make me want an engagement ring from Tiffany's!
