Anyway, he came back and told me to ''try to keep it below 55,'' and let me go. When I got home and told hubby that I got a speed warning, he wanted to know how I got out of the ticket, so I told him ''I jumped in the back and gave him a quickie.'' His response: ''Whatever works.''

We still laugh about that today.

Sorry, hope I didn''t offend anyone . . . .

What a riot!!! LMAO!!

Hmmm I''m not sure I should admit this, but it is ancient history....I once got out of a DUI, and got a date, too! (I was younger and prettier then..needless to say

I had been out for a long Friday afternoon lunch with my bosses and had two glasses of wine. I wasn''t falling down drunk, but I was definitely feeling it. Trying to be super super careful, I drove too slow, and got pulled over.

I was horrified. Rolled down the window and blurted out a ''confession''..."I only had some wine at lunch, blah blah"...before the cop could say a word! I wasn''t crying, but close to it. I think I begged him not to arrest me. I think he was startled.

To make a long story short, he ended up sitting in the car with me for at least forty minutes to give me time to ''sober up''. We chatted and eventually he asked if he could call me sometime...

Guys who heard this story always got mad: "If it had been me, he''d have hauled my a$$ to jail.....

However unproud I may be, I like it when the old guys who take out my groceries flirt.

Pretty anticlimactic, actually. He came over the following Sunday afternoon and we walked into town for coffee and talked over the whole thing, had a nice visit, he left, and I never heard from him again.

The stories posted about women getting out of tickets are way too funny! I''m a female, and darned if I never got out of a ticket for crying! The first time I got pulled over, it was for doing 83 in a 55. I was 17, driving my first car, a ''79 white Caddy my dad bought for me in 1994 as my first car (couldn''t have wrapped it around a tree if I tried), and some random guys were messing with me on a four lane highway, so I sped waaaayyy up to get away from them. Dumb idea! The cop who pulled me over ran my license ( I was sobbing like hysterically) then came back to my car and said,"I know your dad, I go to his restaurant for coffee every now and then. I also live out by you." Did he let me out of the ticket? No way! I happened to be a very cute girl in a short red tennis dress. So it pains me to hear guys say that women always get out of tickets. It really depends on the officer''s mood, I think! He pulled me over again about a year later, I had borrowed a friends car to come home from college and was going about 10 miles over the limit on the road my parents live on. The officer must''ve been on his way home, and he let me off with a warning then.
